"Misunderstood"
Locked up in my room,
Lost deep in thought.
Musing upon things long since done,
Battles long since fought.
Feelings locked up deep inside,
Sadly I can't let go.
So many things I have to hide,
And nothing I can show.
Because of this no one knows me
Or knows just how I feel.
I guess it's 'cause I can't relate
Because my emotions I must seal.
Everyday I fight it,
My eternal war,
But sometimes I lay awake and think
I can't take any more.
Then daylight breaks,
My control maintained.
My mind and soul are still intact,
And all my emotions chained.
So once again I'll put on my mask,
And I'll put up my hood.
Because it's just another day
Of being Misunderstood.
