It was a cold day in modern day Japan. Snow was falling steadily in from of Kagome, but her eyes did not see it. She just came back from the feudal era, and once again Inuyasha lased out at her. It seemed like there was nothing she could do to prove that she cared deeply for him, he would always close up on her. "Probably thinks he's going to get hurt again if he does," she mumbled.
I've tried so hard my dear to show that you're my every dream.
Yet you're afraid each thing I do is just some evil scheme.
She knew he keeps thinking about her, Kikyo. He looks at her and sees Kagome:
"I'm not her!"
"I know that, your different!"
" But your lying Inuyasha. You still see her in me. You only see the hurt she caused you but not the love I can give you. Her memory stops us from being closer! Why don't you see that?!"

He still hurts from her betrayal, the love that will never be. She knew what their love meant to them, she was the first to accept him and love him for who he was. "But why can't he see that I will never hurt him, and that I love him with all my heart? Kami-sama, it hurts so much that you can't see it"
Another love before my time made your heat sad and blue.
And so my heart is paying now for things I didn't do.
She gets so mad sometimes over the whole situation. His unkind words, his cold demener, his inability to accept her!! That's why she's here starting blankly at the snow. She got so mad, couldn't stand it all, and blew up at him and "sat" him more than she should have. Then he looked at her, hurt in his eyes as if saying "I knew it!"
In anger unkind words I said that make the teardrops start.

She really did think they were progressing; he started calling her by her real name. But then, something like today, would happen and he would close up again. His mind and heart is still trapped in that time 50 years ago.
There was a time when I believed that you belonged to me.
And now I know your heart is shackled to a memory.
" And yet, I still love you. I will keep on loving you, and you will keep on pushing me away." She's crying now. Crying over the fact that he will always remain connected to Kikyo, and incapable of opening his heart to her.
"Is there nothing I can do..... Inuyasha, your like this snow" she choked out, looking up at the sky. The snowflakes rapidly increasing along with her tears.
The more I learn to care for you the more we drift apart.
