Just something I wrote, I was feeling dreadful, well if you decide to read you'll see what I mean…not it's not suicidal.

Getting back up

Hinata slumped down, tears streaking down her cheeks as she tried to control her emotions, the words stung. Hugging herself Hinata buried her face in her knees. All her life she had been a misfit, that was fine, she knew how to deal with being shunned and ignored but this. Hinata shivered as another cry of misery escaped her lips. It was difficult. She wanted to flee, but where would she go. She had no one outside these four walls.

After what seemed like hours Hinata fidgeted, rubbing her butt now soar from sitting in one position she stood up to retrieve a framed photo from her bedside table.

Yearning for her touch, a mother's comfort she traced her finger along her face, Oh how she missed her! A tear fell onto the cool glass of the frame as Hinata hugged the photo frame to her chest. I am sorry mom, your daughter," she paused as another tear rolled down her cheek, "I am sorry-I can't be the person you wanted me to be."

"Beep' 'Beep' 'Beep'

Hinata picked up her cell to see who was calling her, 'Hyuga Neji' the name blinked. Hurriedly wiping the tears from her face she answered the call, "Hinata?"

"Yes it's me, Neji how are you?"

"What's wrong Hinata?"

"Nothing's wrong, why would you say that?"

"Look Hinata I have practically raised you since you were born so out with it, what happened?"

"You worry too much, nothing is wrong."

"Yeah right. Look Hinata if you don't tell me I can't help you."

"See your over-reacting brother, nothing's wrong, nothing happened. Now tell me about the contest. Did your team win?"

"Are you sure cause…"

"Yes yes about the contest."

"Well we didn't win."

"Aww I am sorry…"

"But we came in second, I have sent you the photos go ahead take a look."

"Just wait a sec I have to sign in."

Hinata smiled seeing her brother huddled in between his team mates, he had a satisfied look on his face, a small smile gracing his features.

"I miss you," whispered Hinata unknowingly.

"I miss you to little sis. I wish I could take you away from that hell hole but…"

"Hey what did we talk about, no matter what we have to persevere."

"I know! I love you!."

Hinata's eyes filled with tears, she wanted to tell him so badly but she didn't want him to worry too much. She inhaled a deep breath, "I love you to."

"Take care of yourself. Okay!"

"Hai!" replied Hinata, "I have to go have a project to complete."

"Bye," she added hurriedly before cutting the call before he could implore her any further.

Sighing softly, Hinata took a pillow and sat down on the soft mattress indian style. Roving over her room her gaze settled on a photo, it had been taken when she was in grade eight. Three years ago, she had won first place in the art competition. Her smile disappeared, no one had bothered to come to her prize distribution ceremony. No one had cared then and things certainly hadn't changed now. Her only consolation was her brother Neji, if he hadn't caught her back then no one knows how deep she would have buried herself.

Then it struck her, her promise that she had made with her art professor. Hinata curled her hands in determination, 'she was not a quitter! Not now not ever.'

Life's not easy! I don't know why people relish in making other people miserable. Live and let others live.

I know it's far from perfect but I would like to know the reader's perspective so don't hesitate to let me know…
