Twiz: Hey guys! Sorry for my lack of updates recently, blame it on writer's block! But enough of my rambling, enjoy the story!

"You should get out there Princess" Toadsworth quietly encouraged the girl in front of him.

Peach took a deep breath and nodded, beginning towards the large closed doors in front of her.

"I'm ready" the Princess whispered through the door to the guards waiting outside.

"And now, Princess Peach!" The guard announced to the large crowd waiting at the bottom of the grand staircase for the Princess to come out. Peach smiled as the doors opened. She walked to the top of the stairs and stopped, her eyes immediately connecting with those of a red clad plumber. She smiled as he gazed at her intently and began her speech.

"Greetings to all of you! I'm so glad you could all be here on this special day!" she smiled as a familiar hush fell over the crowd at her words. "The star rod stolen by Bowser has been returned to it's rightful place in Star Haven. Peace has once again returned to the Mushroom Kingdom. Above us the stars shine with more beauty and power than ever before. It seems they're sending us their thanks." the Princess continued.

'But I must mention the most important people' Peach thought, grinning to herself. "Mario..." she spoke his name delicately, "Goombario, Kooper, Bombette, Parakary, Bow, Watt, Sushie, Lakilester, and everyone across the Mushroom Kingdom, we've regained peace because of your efforts. Thank you very much indeed. I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. I hope the Mushroom Kingdom will enjoy peace and prosperity for a long time to come. Perhaps forever! This is my heartfelt wish." the Princess continued hopefully.

She gave a light, acknowledging nod to the crowd. "So let's celebrate! Enjoy the festivities everyone!" Peach finished, throwing her hands into the air.

After the applause had died down, she descended the stairs to say hello to the man she had never broken eye contact with the entire speech.

"That was a lovely speech Princess" Mario complimented as she reached him. "Thank you very much Mario, but I wouldn't be here giving a speech if it wasn't for you" Peach countered with a smile. "It was nothing" Mario replied, forever a humble man. "But it deserves thanks all the same" Peach said, crouching down to Mario's height and planting a delicate kiss on his nose.

He looked up at the Princess and extended a hand, politely asking "Would you like to dance, Peach?"
