Jadepaw stared in horror at the limp body in front of him.
"Emblemheart..." he murmered, bending his head to groom his mentor's lovely white fur. Rosepaw and Snowpaw sat on either side of the body, their heads bent in sorrow. Jadepaw turned his intense amber eyes to look at Rosepaw. Rosepaw whimpered slightly, his tail drooping, but said nothing.
"I will...save her..." Jadepaw hissed after a moment.

Flamepaw stared out the crack in his den wall, his emerald green eyes glazed with boredom. He often spent his days like this, treated like the kit he knew he was. Goldenpaw and Eaglekit would visit from time to time, but the young kit was, for the most part, alone. Ever since his brother, Ashpaw, ran away, Flamepaw had been bored out of his mind. Though he didn't know it at the time, things were to change that day.
"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather beneth highrock for a Clan meeting!" Ivorystar yowled.
"Flamepaw!" a familiar meow called.
"Come on!"
"Goldenpaw!" Flamepaw meowed happily.
"Actually it's-" the golden tabby tom started, but he was cut off by Ivorystar's impatiant cough.
"Goldenclaw, if you have something to tell the rest of the Clan...?"
"No, Your Highness." Goldenclaw meowed respectfully.
Ivorystar nodded.
"Good." he meowed.
"Flamepaw, please step fourth."
Flamepaw tipped his head to one side.
"Okay..." he meowed casually, padding clumsily up the side of the highrock.
"Flamekpaw, you have long since reached six moons. however your mentor, Tideheart, has returned to ShadowClan to deal with some...'unfinished buisness. I can't let you stay locked up in the nursery like a kit anymore. ThunderClan needs strong, healthy warriors. Goldenclaw, you are a young warrior, but I trust you to pass all your skills down to Flamepaw."
"Yes, Your Highness."

"You see, Tearkit, not many cats believe in StarClan anymore."
"Do you?" thee little brown and silver tabby kit asked innocently.
Falconheart sighed.
"I am not a medicine cat, so it is not my duty to beleive in such nonsence. Perhaps Wildpaw will answer your questions."
Tearkit grinned.
"Okay. Thak you, Major Falconheart!" she called as she raced away to
Falconheart sighed. This kit didn't belong in ShadowClan, and deep down, she knew her soon to be apprentice would leave.

Tempestpaw laughed.
"-a bunch of lies!" he sneered.
"There's no such thing as StarClan! Even Wildpaw here knows that, and she's a medicine cat! Right, Wildpaw?" he asked the smaller cream she-cat.
Wildpaw nodded timidly.
"Right." she meowed in a firm but scared meow.
Tempestpaw laughed.
"Go away, 'kit, and play with your friends in the nursery! Hahaha!"
"Hey, shaddup!" a voice squeaked behind them.
"Sweetkit..." Tempestpaw muttered without turning around.
"Shouldn't you be with him?"

Firestar sighed and looked down at the cats of the living. He was fading fast, and though he should be looking foreward to the eternal darkness that he'd worked do hard to earn, all he felt was panic. Bramblestar, Squirrelstar, and Brightstar were gathered around him, whispering back and fourth.
Firestar sighed. He knew he'd be gone by tomorrow at the latest. He had to send some Clan cats a dying message. They had long since abandoned StarClan, and a certain, eerie element of...magic, of sorts, had taken their place.
"The Fire will Burn
The Tears will Run
The Wild Tempest
And Fersome Tide
Will become the Clans' Downfall..."
he whispered, hearing his words carried to earth on the wind. He then took a deep breath, the same wind ruffling his pelt, and slowly faded.
