I do not own Inuyasha or any other related characters
A rare event, indeed. Something was happening that didn't happen very often. Kagome Higaurashi was actually attending school.
Kagome's history teacher had a fetish for lecturing the students about the feudal era, so naturally Kagome kept at least one ear listening to perhaps hear something which could help her friends. Usually her teacher only talked about events that Kagome already knew about, but today was different.
Today the teacher seemed excited. REALLY excited. "Class, can anyone tell me what is celebrated around this month? Although, it's not REALLY celebrated that much.....but can anyone guess?" The teacher looked around the classroom with a huge grin plastered on his face. "Anyone?" His face fell. "No takers, huh? Fine then. Highly accurate sources indicate that sometime around this month any creatures containing mostly demon blood vanished forever thus explaining why there aren't demons today!"
No demons today? Yeah, right. How do you explain that cursed-mask-thing from a while ago? thought Kagome to herself. Wait. That mask wasn't really a demon. This just might be true! After all, most legends are actually true, take the Bone Eater's Well and the Shikon Jewel for instance! Kagome raised her hand. "Do you know how or why they vanished? Or did they really just vanish?"
The class erupted into laughter over what they thought to be a stupid question. Suddenly, the teacher seemed to swell with size and yelled, "Stop your laughing! There is nothing hilarious about Miss Higaurashi's question!!!" The class fell silent and the teacher returned to normal size. "Now, Kagome, it is believed that this turn of events came around due to the sacred Shikon Jewel. Supposedly, the battle raging inside the jewel between powerful demons and the priestess Midoriko came to a close and Midoriko became the victor. The different fragments of the jewel (for some unexplained reason it had broken apart) joined to the biggest piece and began to brightly glow. The jewel then rose to the sky and rays of light poured upon those of demon blood and suddenly the demon were no more and neither was the jewel. Now the speculation is where did the jew- Kagome! Where are you going? KA-GO-ME!"
Kagome couldn't hear her teacher. She had already dashed out of the classroom, down the hallway, and out the door. Kagome was in such a hurry that she forgot her backpack back at the school, but she didn't care. All that mattered was that her friends were still okay, for the time being.
So, please review! I hope to have the next chappie up soon and hey, did I spell Kagome's last name right? If not, please tell me how to spell it!
