Bingo Slot (77) [Character] Fred
Knocking on the door she waited for it to open.
"Hello Veronica." He spoke after he opened the door to find her standing there. He sighed deeply as he took in her appearence. "It's nice that you are here."
"I wasn't sure if ..." She couldn't finish. "This was a mistake."
He stepped out; and placed a hand on her tight right shoulder. "No you are quite welcomed here." He spoke in a steady voice. "You will always have a home here." He looked deeply into her hurt; and angry eyes.
"You don't have to say that." Veroncia spoke in a rough voice as she fought the tears from falling. As she fought the shout that wanted to make it way out of her tight chest. As she fought the urge to step away from this contact on her shoulder. But she looked deeply into his sad eyes; and knew that he was hurting just as much as she was. "I didn't mean to drag you into this Mr. Andrews."
"Fred." He spoke. "You don't need to all me Mr. Andrews any longer Veronica; even through you and my son are getting a divorce." He swallowed the raw anger at the situation. "You still get to call me Fred."
"Thank you." Veroncia nodded. "He's not here is he?" She looked over his shoulder into the house.
"Archie hasn't been here since he told me that your marriage has ended." Fred cleared his voice. "Since he told me that he willing walked away from you."
"I'm sorry." Veronica simply spoke. "I'm sorry that I wasn't enough for your son." She stepped away from him. She couldn't handle his contact on her body any longer.
Fred teared up. What could he say to that.
"Ronnie?" A surprise quiet voice spoke.
Fred's head shot up and he found a wide eyed shocked Betty Cooper behind Veronica. He tensed up as he realized that by the look in Betty's eyes she had no idea of what Archie had done.
Veronica turned around to face her best friend. "H-how long have you been standing there?" Her arms wrapped protectively around her waist.
"Long enough." Betty husked out. She stepped up so she was standing just a step from where the shorter brunette was standing. "Ronnie?" She wrapped her arms around her stiff best friend, and pulled her tightly against her. Her left hand rested around the thin waist; and her right hand rose to gently sooth the back of Veronica's neck.
Veronica quickly wrapped her arms around the thin waist of her best female friend. Tears poured down her cheeks as she nuzzled into the blonde's neck. A quiet sob burst forth from her tight chest.
