- Name: Four houses, four poems.

A/N: I still don't know how I came up with this. I can't rhyme… Hell, I can't even rhyme in Dutch, (my native tongue) well it something that I still need to learn. This little doodle I created for my own pleasure. The houses belong to the author, I'm mere playing with them. ^___^* I don't know Huffelpuff and Ravenclaw that good so I needed to use my own imagination with those two. It is a shame though, that J.K. didn't gave us more information about the two other houses.

We; the masculine Gryffindors,

We Gryffindors have something to say to you, professor Snape,
head of Slytherin House.
Making us students shiver in the dungeons
Above their steaming potions
You ruled the class with an iron fist,
But closed an eye when a Slytherin would miss
Deducting points was your favourite game
Especially from our Gryffindor fame,
Two other houses hated you as well.
Only Slytherin seemed immune to your hell,
And that, that left us wondering why
Seven years of brewing, stewing,
Timing and sometimes even crying,
We Gryffindors battled our way
Through thirty inches long potions essays
Sometimes we wondered if you had a heart,
Or that you lost it playing cards.
Some hated, others feared you.
We never saw you smile, smirk, or even cry.
We wondered if you had emotions
Except the anger you held to us Gryffondors.
And thus there comes and end to this rhyme,
But we wouldn't want to turn and leave,
Without even saying the moral to our sorrow,
We Gryffindors chose you, professor Snape,
As a teacher, we Love To Hate.

~ The brave Gryffindors.
