1I watched as Sango tried to fend off Naraku. She was weakening fast, and with Inuyasha hurt, Kagome and Shippo wounded, and I damaged from my wind tunnel, she was left alone. Kirara herself was tired, having to fly Sango around and lunge on him.

She was truly brave, anyone would have ran by now, but not her. Damn, she's been hit. I watch as the only woman I ever truly loved slowly dies. No! Not this way! I never told her how much she truly means to us, to me. I wish I could help her, in her time of need, but the wind tunnel has ripped, I could kill her and my friends.

She slowly reaches for Kagome, for the shards. A power boost! Of course, how obvious, they can strengthen humans as well as demons. So smart, but she can't do this alone. "So, Sango, you think those shards will help you against me? Heh, I thought you were smarter, I have already swallowed my shards. Yours will do no harm"

"You bastard! You killed everyone I knew, controlled my brother, slain my friends, do you think I would give up so easily?"

I'm now standing, barely, but it's enough. Naraku turns to me, a evil gleam in his red eyes. "Monk, your alive? Well, you won't be for long, that wind tunnel is to– aaaaah!"

"Die!" yelled Sango, as her boomerang slashed Naraku's neck. I know what I have to do. Goodbye, my beloved Sango, I've always loved you.

"WIND TUNNEL"

"Miroku, NO!"

Naraku's severed head is summoned to my hand. He's finally dead, but so am I. I can see now, the failure in my actions. My wind tunnel is bigger than my own hand, I have brought my own death. My vision fades as she runs to me.

"Miroku? Please get up! You can't die! Not now, he's gone, finally gone."

"Sango, I want you to know, I've always loved you more than those other women. Now please run, my vision is almost gone."

My vision has darkened, so this is what death is like, dark and cold.

I opened my eyes only to have them meet some beautiful dark brown ones. "Sango?" I whispered.

"Yes Miroku?"

"How?"

"The wind tunnel disappeared before it could suck you in"

"What about Kohaku and Inuyasha?"

"Inuyasha and the others are fine. I do not know about Kohaku though. We'll find him soon enough"

"Sango"

"Hmm?"

"Will you do me the honor, of bearing my children?"

My heart flew as Sango beamed at me and smiled. I was happy now, and I now have a future with the most beautiful woman I have ever met.

"Only you Sango, only you"
