I Will Follow You Into The Dark
I never thought it would end like this. I never thought I would feel the life within me slipping away, as I lie in a digusting pool of tainted crimson liquid next to the woman that I would never be able to satisfy. I will never be able to hold her, to feel her glowing skin upon my bare pale flesh. I will never get to indulge in the pleasures of life with her by my side, never know how amazing our lives would have been, but I feel that this is a fitting end to a bitter battle.
I wish that it could have been different, I really do, but in the end I don't regret anything because in this moment-this one beautiful moment-I am with her. I have taken up my post beside her, and I will be with her for the rest of forever. Nothing will ever dissever my soul from the soul of the most beautiful person I've ever met in my life. An angel like her with a devil like me is insane and I'll never understand, but it makes me smile. All my life I've been waiting for someone like her. With what energy I have left I reach out, grasping her ever chilling hand. One minute left, just one minute.
"I love you Tori."
"Forever?" She barely whispers.
"Forever." I whisper back, turning my head so I can stare into those hopeful eyes that I've missed so much.
"I love you Jade." She barely gets out as her eyelids lower over her expressive irises. I know it's the end, for her, for both of us. As tragic as our tale is it has almost a happy ending-Almost.
With my last breath, I intertwine our fingers and follow her into the dark.
