A girl sits on a stool

Being told not to lie

Being told they are older

They are smarter

She could not possibly be right

She watches

She waits

She was right

Everywhere she went she told

No one ever listened

She was a child

She could not be right

And yet she was

They took the credit

Because

No one would believe

That a child knew more than an adult.
