Okay so this story was removed because I apparently used wrong grammer? I spell check and grammer check my writing so I'm really confused as to why exactly this was removed. I probably shouldn't be as upset as I am but I'm working on the second chapter right now. As long as this can actually stay up. -_-
And no I do not own Degrassi or Timeless by All-American Rejects.
"I see how they run through the tall grass
With such thoughtless minds
I wish that I was thoughtless too
What is this hole in my heart?
That I cannot abide
I just want you to stay
With me tonight"
Elijah Goldsworthy was the new student at Lake's View Elementary School. Clare Edwards was immediately interested in the boy. He was not like the loud, obnoxious other boys that traded Pokémon all class long. He was extremely quiet and he seemed to enjoy coloring everything black. Everyday Mrs. Terra would take his black markers away and everyday he would bring a new one.
Many times he had come to school wearing bruises on his arms and face. Clare wondered if he was very clumsy. He never acted clumsy at school, but maybe he hid it. She wanted to talk to him badly, but instead she just sat next to him at recess and lunch. Neither said a word but every once and a while they would share a glance. He nodded a hello to her each morning and she smiled in reply. She was just happy that he actually noticed her unlike the others.
One day, it was different. He did not nod his head at her. His hair covered half his face and his head hung very low. "Ewijah?" She asked. He looked up for a split second and she gasped at the bloody gash that ran along his cheek.
"What happened?" She cried. He ran to the lunchroom. She sat alone that day, as did he. She hoped maybe they would sit together during recess but she could not find him.
"You're just a pathetic kindergartner. You can't do nothin'." She heard a loud voice coming from the side of the building. She got up from the grass and walked towards the loud voice. There Elijah was and Mark, a fourth grader. You see Mark was always a jerk to the younger kids. For some reason, though, he liked to mess with Elijah more than the others.
"Did your daddy give you the scars?" He smirked evilly.
"Shut up!" That was the first Clare had ever heard Elijah's voice. She walked forwards slowly. She watched in fright as Mark punched the younger boy across his face. Elijah held his face with his hands. She could tell from the whimpering noises that he was crying.
"What a ba-" Mark was cut off.
"Leave him alone!" Clare screamed pushing the bully who in turn walked away chuckling. Clare frowned as she crouched down next to Elijah.
"Are you okay, Ewijah?" She gently touched his shoulder and he flinched.
"It's Eli." He whispered and she was happy that for once he was talking to her.
"I wike it." She laughed softly. Her laugher soon died.
"What's wrong?"
"I hate this school. I hate everyfang." He whispered.
"Even me?" Tears welled up in her eyes and he looked up at her sadly.
"No. I like you." She smiled, showing her missing teeth. She pulled him into a hug and he shook crying even harder than before.
"Can we be friends?" He asked innocently not removing his head from her tearstained shoulder.
"I thought we already were." She smiled and he did the same. She pulled him into another hug and this time he hugged her back.
So since this is the second attempt I do not expect many reviews but I truly am sorry if anyone is irritated or annoyed that this is not an update. I hope you guys aren't mad at me and please leave a review if you like it or not. Thank you so much for reading!
