I awoke sprawled out on half mat half floor. I blinked my eyes a few times trying to get a sense of what time it was. My eyes adjusted to the dark setting around me. It still must be night I thought.
I shifted gently surely not to disturb Wanda. My body rolled the side of itself from the floor to the mat. When my quiet deed was done I extended my arm to drape over Wanda's body, when instead of touching the smooth skin of her arm, my hand fell limply to the floor.
I shot up from my laying down position and used my hands to feel around the mat. Nothing Wanda was not in her bed.
I jumped up and ran out the door I knew what was going on. Maybe I would be able to stop her. Maybe it wasn't to late. I tried to convince myself so my heart wouldn't shatter on the spot.
I sprinted at full speed towards the southern tunnels and towards the hospital. Come on! Come on! I have to get there before…
I skidded into the hospital room and screamed "WANDA!! NOOO!!"
There I was looking at doc shaking with sobs hold a presently dormant Wanda. The stretcher held Wanda's old body eyes closed breathing steadily. And holding the hand of Wanda's old body was Jared.
I went up to the group looking at Wanda. "How… Why… no," the words were barley coming out of my mouth. I dropped to my knees, shaking uncontrollably with loud painful sobs. "Wanda… she's… she's… gone," I mumbled.
I got up. After about a half an hour of mourning. I gently took Wanda out of doc's hands. I walked next to Jared and Wanda's old body.
Jared spoke "Ian I'm-"
"I hate you!" I shouted
Then I ran… taking Wanda with me.
