Dean lined up the shot, cocked his head toward the corner, sunk the eight ball.
Apparently third time wasn't the charm. The trucker threw a haymaker as the ball fell.
Instinct to duck was quicker than Dean's realization Sam was standing behind him.
Sam saw the fist a second before it connected. Enough to shift, not to block. He grabbed the forearm, ignored his stinging temple, the slow trickle at his hairline. Twisting the arm, Sam shoved his face into the table's felt as Dean struck an uppercut into his belly.
"Totally worth 300 bucks." Dean ducked under Sam's swat.
