Konoha was falling. On the outside, there simply seemed to be a slight disturbance, but the situation was much more deadly. A virus swept throughout Konohagakure, taking the lives of many talented Shinobi. There was speculation that the virus was taking only the most talented Shinobi. Some suspected that the virus was not deadly at all, but when the ninjas were sick in their beds, they were assassinated. It could not be confirmed, however, for when the Shinobi died, their disease disappeared without a trace. Either way, the sheer numbers of Konoha were dwindling. Children who were once parented by excellent Shinobi were left as orphans. They were forced to learn the Ninja arts, whether they knew the secrets of their Clans or not. Once they became Genins, Teams barely existed, since they were not given a Sensei. The only Clan that seemed to survive were the Hyuugas. Hyuuga Hinata and Naruto Uzumaki, the Sixth Hokage, raised a daughter, and this, my friends, in the time of Konoha's downfall, is where our story begins.
