We all know Bella Swan. She's gotten everything she's ever wanted and it looks like she never makes mistakes. Even as a newborn she was in complete control of her thirst and has a powerful psychic shield that makes her practically untouchable. Her life seems perfect. So what happens when she makes a mistake that could ruin not just her life, but also the life of someone else?

Prologue

I had everything I ever wanted. I had a loving family, a great boyfriend, and a promising future. My life wasn't perfect, but it wasn't horrible either. I was young and free and happy. I was me, and there was no one else I wanted to be in that moment.

But then one day I was in the wrong place at the wrong time and she ruined it. She took me and changed me in ways I had never deemed possible. In a matter of seconds, everything that I cared about and wanted was gone. She took my hopes and dreams and shattered them. She changed me until I was no longer the girl I used to be. I wasn't Danielle Montanez anymore. I was a mistake. And I wasn't just anyone's mistake.

I was her mistake.

I had become Bella Swan's mistake.

And I wonder if I'll ever become anything more than that.
