Hello, everyone! It's me, Altean Princess of Destiny, again!
I haven't ever done a song-fic before, but this idea just
came to me while I was on my way to school and I heard this
song on the radio! It's "Numb" by Linkin Park! Just have
fun reading and enjoy! R&R
NOTES: This is also a Shounen-ai/Yaoi fanfiction! It starts out as Link and Zelda, but it will end in a Marth/Link pairing! So, if you don't like, then don't read! Thanks and don't forget about my other two fics! They're still going strong!
"I have to do it today... It can't wait any longer... It has to be done... Today..." Link said to himself as he sat down on the couch next to Zelda. She had no idea as to why he might have called her to meet with him. "It has to be today..."

Zelda sat silently as her boyfriend took her hands in his. "Link... What is going on? What's wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?" She stared at the Hylian teen with a slight fear of what might be to come. He didn't want to do this to her, but he couldn't help his feelings... for Marth.

"Zelda... I'm sorry," Link stated, with a heavy sigh. The girl's eyes filled with tears as she gasped at his last words, "You don't mean... Link, stop talking like that... What's really going on?"
The teen closed his eyes, "Zelda... I can't continue this... I'm sorry"
Can't you see that you're smothering me Holding too tightly Afraid to lose control 'Cause everything that you thought I would be Has fallen apart Right in front of you
The young girl sat silently, tears streaming down her face. Before Link could speak, the princess stood from her place and the couch and hurried out the door and out into the hallway. He quickly followed after her. Upon reaching the door, he slowed down and peered around the door facing, calling after her, "Zelda! Zelda, wait! I can explain..."

Before he could even stop to catch his breath, she was gone... She had made her way at least half-way down the steps, by now. "How could I do this..." Link then straightened himself back up, "I had to... It's not for me... It's for her own good... Yeah..." He stood with his hands by his side and sighed as he felt a warm hand upon his shoulder.

The young Hylian-teen turned to look up at the only companion he had left........... Marth Lowell. He laid his head on the teal-haired teen's chest as his tears came silently. Marth bowed his head and placed a hand at the back of Link's soft, blonde hair, "I understand... Everyone knew it couldn't last forever..." He placed a hand under the sobbing-blonde's chin and turned his face to meet his. "Marth... She just doesn't understand... But, how to make her see? I mean... There is no way that she would accept this, you know... She's just... like everyone else...."
