Airplane
Warning. Mentions car crash.
I fall to my knees, sobbing, at the foot of a grave. Why did he have to go? Why couldn't he stay? Why?
I remember when he confessed to me that he loved me. It was only a few months ago.
~flashback~
The bell rings as I walk into class. I let out a breath of relief. I got so lucky. I quickly rush over to my seat before the teacher starts taking attendance.
About halfway through class something hits my side. I look to the ground on my left, and there, I see a paper airplane. I pick it up and I see marks of a pencil.
It was a note.
I open it and start to read.
I've had something on my mind for a long time. I was to nervous to say it before. But I will now.
Another one hits my side. I read that one.
I'm sorry if you don't feel the same way. But I just can't hide it. If I don't tell you now, I never will.
One last one flies onto my desk. I slowly open it and gasp at what I read.
I love you.
I dart my vision around the room, trying to see who made these. Then, I think of something. Who else would know how to make a perfectly symmetrical airplane that flew right to where he wants it to go?
I look to the back of the class where I see the nerd of the class. His cheeks were dusted pink, signifying that it was him that made the notes. I smile. How sweet.
I take out my own piece of paper and scribble my own note on it. Then, I make my own airplane out of it and toss it to him. It lands on his desk, directly in front if him.
He opens the note and reads it. He then looks up at me, smiling. I wink at him.
Let's hang out after school. It'll be fun.
And that's what we did.
~present time~
And now I'm here. A heartbroken girl who lost the one she loves. It's then I remember something. I run back home and run into my room, totally tearing the place apart.
Then, I find it. I open my window and throw it out. I couldn't stand to have his love plane with me.
I close my window and then jump onto my bed. I slowly cry myself to sleep.
A boy, so pale he was see through, sits on the bed. The sheets don't move a millimeter, as he is just a ghost. Though the heartbroken girl couldn't feel it, the boy hugs her. Oh how he wished to come back. To be with her. But alas. It would never happen.
He goes back to his grave where he sees something laying on the dirt. He picks it up and reads it. A small smile appears on his lips. It's then he runs back to the girl's house before the sun comes up.
Wasting no time, he grabs a piece of paper and a pen. His time was almost up, and he hurriedly writes a note to the girl he loves. Right before the sun comes up, he puts the note on the girl's night-stand. Then, sunlight fills the room, and the boy ceases to exist.
I wake up with sunlight coming through my window. Yawning, I notice a piece of paper sitting on my night-stand. I pick it up and read it, crying at what it says.
I left early. I was not supposed to go yet. That car was not supposed to be there. I was told so. But, it is to late to come back now. I wish that I could've told you this in person, but the sun is coming up, and I will disappear. There is one last thing I want to say before I leave earth forever. Remember, that forever and always,...
I love you.
Uh... So yeah. Made this a while back and decided to put it up. IDK what was going on in my mind then. This just kinda came out of nowhere. And I decided to finally put it up. So, tada!
Anyways, hope you liked this one shot. Reading through it, I remember how sweet this seemed to me. I love it again.
Not gonna ask for anything. Just glad you've read it.
Bye!
