The day Rachel Berry had dreamt about since the tender age of four was here. Rachel Barbara Berry was moving to New York City to start her dazzling career as an actress! Well she was going to Julliard but that was merely a stepping stone, a chapter if you will in the soon to be best seller that would be 'My Little Golden Star'… the biography of Rachel Berry of course!
So if this was what she was dreaming of why did she hate it right now…?
'Finn, please. Take me home, I-I-I want to go back to Lima and-and watch Funny Girl with you' Rachel sobbed in the middle of the airport. Rachel had waltzed in with the biggest smile on her face. This was her new beginning… but that meant there had to be an end to something.. or someone. Finn. 'I can't leave you. No I-I-I refuse to actually!' Rachel nearly shouted stomping her foot and sitting in protest on her suitcase.
'Rachel please don't do this to me… There is nothing I would love more than to tell you to screw this dream and we could go to Ohio State together but then I wouldn't do something I strive to do… be a good boyfriend. Rach, If I let you miss your plane and to 'settle' for me' Rachel began to open her mouth to argue that she wasn't 'settling' but Finn continued. 'If I was to do that then, I'd have to go on for the rest of my life knowing I deprived you of your dreams because Rachel you have spent all your life working towards this moment and if I was to let you walk away well… I love you too much to see you throw everything away. Although I'm flattered you need to know… the four years of college you won't be off my mind, every day I'll think of you, whether it's a song I know we sang in Glee club or… anything… just anything Rachel because you are my everything. So I'm going to kiss you and turn around and ill be here waiting for you when you step off that flight in four years' time. And if you'll have me, ill be here ready to be your friend.' Throughout Finns speech he was lightly soothing Rachel's cheek and he tilted it up for one last kiss.
But Rachel being herself ran after him… and threw her arms around him from behind… 'What do you mean, we're not going to even attempt long distance? Just friends? You're going to meet some other pretty girl and ill be nothing to you in four years.' Rachel wept.
Finn just turned gently to his wreck of a girlfri… Ex girlfriend and spoke 'Rachel I'm not doing this for myself, trust me I'd give all this up for you… You're going to meet someone out there that truly deserves you. And when you do I want you to go for it. Start a family…' He gulped. 'Live, fall in love just please have an amazing life because you are one in a trillion and I know I'll never ever find anyone like you so just please… please take care and have an amazing life.' He said finishing it with a smile.
Both stood for one last embrace tears gently strolling down their faces. Finn gave her one last kiss on her forehead. And Finn Hudson walked away from Rachel Berry.
