ME: Okay, I'm gonna be honest: Though Cad Bane looks cool and everything, his defining trait is that everyone tends to become stupid when he's around.

Remember, ladies and gentlemen: If you are ever attacked, don't forget to call for backup like a complete idiot.

Cad Bane smiled as he landed the repulsorcraft, ignoring hails from the traffic controllers to avoid landing unless he was granted clearance.

Captain Jayfon, a no-nonsense officer of the Senate Commandos, frowned as he approached the Duros intruder with a few of his men in tow. "You, halt!" he ordered.

Bane nodded his head at the blue-armored law enforcers. "I got business with the Senate," he said. "Why don't you fellas step aside?"

Jayfon shook his head. "Don't think we're that stupid, Citizen," he said before turning to one of his Commandos. "You, cuff him."

"Yes, sir," the Senate Commando said, but he had only taken a few steps before Aurra Sing shot him with a sniper rifle, killing the elite Senate Guardsman.

"NOO!" an older Senate Commando said as they fled for cover. "HE WAS TOO YOUNG!"

Jayfon felt fear for the first time that day but kept his voice calm as he radioed Dispatch. "Jayfon to Dispatch, a sniper just killed one of my men!" yelled the Captain. "I say again, we're under attack by a sniper! Requesting backup, requesting backup!"

"Copy that, Captain Jayfon," the dispatcher replied. "Hold your position, we'll send reinforcements ASAP."

"Bane!" Shahan Alama, a Weequay bounty hunter, shouted as alarms began to blare. "I thought you said these guys were complete idiots!"

"They would be," responded the violent humanoid, "but I forgot my idiot ball!"

Backup for Jayfon and his subordinates arrived in the form of Jedi General Anakin Skywalker and additional Senate Commandos. Aurra Sing, correctly concluding it was no longer profitable to be involved, fled and left Bane and his cohorts without sniper cover. Within a minute the bounty hunters had all been shot or cut down.

"Dispatch, this is Jayfon," the Commando Captain said. "Interrogative: Do you have a twenty on the sniper? Over."

"Negative, but thanks for remembering to use your helmet comlink and warn us," said the dispatcher. "If none of you had alerted us, Jayfon, this whole building could've been taken and we'd all look like total chumps."

ME: And this, ladies and gentlemen, is why you don't rely on the Idiot Ball when you're trying to tell a story. Seriously, none of those Commandos remembered to radio in and get a warning out? BS.
