Every step on Jack's swollen ankle was agony, even with Daniel supporting most of his weight. Teal'c was on point, Carter watching their sixes. Blood flowed freely again from the cut on his back. This was another fine mess the Tok'ra had gotten them into. He stumbled over a vine, nearly brining his friend down with him.

As nightfall approached, the 'gate came into view. Moments later, they were home, safe in Frasier's capable hands. Every member of his team had an injury of some sort, but they were home now; mission accomplished. Jack relaxed and let sleep claim him.
