Dear Diary,
Okay, so I'm usually used to being around guys who will say strange things. But I'd have to say that the weirdest thing a guy has ever said to me was something that Draco Malfoy said to me today after dinner in the great hall.
I was just walking, strolling back to Gryffindor tower, a book in my arms, when all of a sudden something snatched my right arm and caused me to drop my book. My precious copy of Bathilda Bagshot's Hogwarts: A History. Naturally, my first reaction was to want to glare at whoever had grabbed my arm and was still holding it. But he beat me to it.
He spun me around so that I faced him, then leaned in so much that his nose nearly touched mine. And then, as I was totally freaking out inside and wondering why the hell Draco Malfoy looked as if he was about to kiss me, he whispered something very, very odd.
"I love lamp," he informed me.
"What?" I asked, really confused.
"I love lamp," he repeated, urgently, this time. And then he let go of my arm and ran off. Just before he rounded the corner, he turned and called, "I love lamp!" in my direction. And then he disappeared. I haven't seen him since.
Ginny came up to me then and asked what that had all been about.
"I honestl have absolutely no idea, nor do I wish to know why the hell he just did that," I replied.
"Maybe he's in love with you," she suggested.
"I highly doubt that."
Because, according to Draco, he doesn't love me.
He loves lamp.
Sincerely,
Hermione Granger.
A/N: If you haven't seen it, the whole "I love lamp" thing is a reference to the movie Anchorman. I just got kinda bored and was all "What to write about today?" and I looked up and saw a lamp, so I was like "Why not?" Hope you didn't find this to be too random for you. :)
