With Love, Edward

Bella slumped on the narrow bed at the end of the day.

Her tears fell as she heard him say,

"I'll love you forever.

This promise will be kept forever."

Her heart ached with sorrow;

She dreaded the thought of tomorrow.

Her cries echoed through the empty house.

She was alone except for Charlie, the abandoned spouse.

The cold gripped her in its icy grasp,

And it brought back memories of the past.

His handsome voice muttered in her hollow head,

"I will not do anything that you will come to dread."

Her angel, her answered prayer,

Was now cheering for an L.A. Laker.

His heart denied her love in the end,

Now she wishes to be dead.

He was a god; she was average and plain.

Dwarfed in comparison, her love was vain.

The rain plopped on the roof,

Like the clatters of a horse hoof.

As she fell asleep, her head numb,

She whispered a word, feeling dumb.

It burnt her throat, hoping it would be a guard,

She slipped into unconsciousness as she whispered, "Edward."

When you fall in love, hope it is true

For it will leave you pain and feeling blue.
