Dreams take the pain away,
A blissful time to play.
Do not listen to what I say,
I am a nightmare.
Fields of flowers in the sun.
Open ground, space to run.
If we play tag it will be fun,
Until I catch you.
Blue hues above us where birds fly,
A bright and clear, sunny sky.
I know that it is all a lie.
Only rain falls on me.
Dreams help me to forget my world.
Show me another one's life unfurled.
It makes my anger tightly curled.
To know it's not my life.
When morning comes I awake.
Another day with lives to take.
Blood to spill in the deepest lake.
Where I wash away the dreams.
