This is my first story and I finally got the courage to post it thanks to my friend… heiwajimaXshizuo … I figured hey if she's gonna post a story then I'm gonna hahaha…. So a special thanks to her.

Why?

Naruto's P.O.V

It was a peaceful day, the sun was out and bright, only a couple clouds could be seen. I could hear the birds chirping in the distance. The grassy field me and Sasuke were laying in was one of our favorite places to get away from the stress of missions and everything else.

"Hey Sasuke?" I asked quietly as a curl up next to him and laid my head on his chest.

"Yes?"

"Do you love me?" I could feel tears prickling at the corner of my eye.

"Of course I do, Dobe. You know that." I felt him pull me closer.

I looked up at him and he looked back with worry in his eyes. He reached his hand up brushed away the stray tears that had leaked out. We've told each other that we loved one another before out I've always had a doubtful voice inside my head asking why he would love someone like me.

"What's wrong, love?" He asked resting a hand on my cheek.

I could feel more tears coming and I couldn't stop them, the sobs rake through my whole frame. "It's just that out of everyone why did you choose me? Since you killed your brother you are the only Uchiha left, how are you going to revive your clan if you're with me? I can't provide a family like you need Sasuke. You would be better off without me. I see how Sakura looks at you, she would make you happy plus you could-"

My words came to a stop when something covered my mouth. I realized it was Sasuke's lips after a second and I kissed back. The kiss was gentle yet passionate but ended after a couple seconds.

"Dobe, I chose you because you are the one I love, the reason I want to get up in the morning, you're my sunshine, and I would do anything and everything for you." Sasuke said holding my head in between his hands.

"But-"

"Shhh, I'm not done yet. I don't care if the Uchiha blood ends with me. And if it's a family you want we can adopt when we're ready. I would never choose Sakura either. I neither like nor love her. Plus she doesn't like me for me but you do, Naruto and I will never leave you."

I think that was the most I had ever heard Sasuke talk. My tears started up again but this time they were happy tears. I leaned in and started kissing him. This one was longer and when I felt Sasuke's tongue brushing my bottom lip I opened my mouth. He caressed my tongue and the roof of my mouth. I wrapped my hands in his hair and he did the same to me. When oxygen became a necessity we pulled away.

"I love you, Sasuke."

"I love you too, Naruto. You wanna head home now?" I nodded my head

He got up and held a hand out for me. I took it but when I got up he still didn't let go. And I was happy about that. I looked up and smiled at him, he smiled back and gripped my hand a little tighter.

My breath caught with the smile and I knew right then that I couldn't live without Sasuke. I was glad that I was Sasuke's and Sasuke was mine and I now had the confidence that that wouldn't change.

"Come on, Dobe, I'll make ramen for dinner tonight."
