Something Sweet
HiJack.
ROTBTD.
12 Days of HiJack. Day six, prompt six, baking cookies.
Kindergarten AU.
Astrid sighed as she watched her younger brother playing with her neighbor, the Haddock kid.
She had volunteered at the local elementary school, Guardianes.
She was currently in seventh grade, and her class was put into different classrooms of the younger years.
Jack smiled as he waved to her.
He then took hold of Henrik's hand.
Or Hiccup, as everyone called him.
"Astrid," Elinor Dunbroch walked over, a black kitten in her arms. Toothless.
Astrid swore the feline hated her.
Elinor smiled as her daughter, Merida, ran by with a girl with short brown hair, Rachel, or Rapunzel as everyone called her.
Elinor looked around and saw Jack and Hiccup wander into the kitchen.
She gasped and handed Toothless to Astrid.
The feline hissed and made an attempt to scratch her face.
Astrid held him away from her face and walked over.
Her eyes widened.
Elinor was there with the boys.
Helping them make...
cookies?
And why did they look like snowmen and dragons?
"Ah," Elinor waved her over, "Astrid, watch the boys. They're just going to finish up these cookies."
She walked out and back into the classroom.
Jack and Hiccup looked up at Astrid.
Jack smiled, his face full of white frosting, blue sprinkles and a few chocolate chips.
Hiccup was covered in a rainbow of frosting, glittery green sprinkles, and several gum drops.
Astrid rolled her eyes and whipped out her phone, hitting record on her camera as the two held up a cookie to the other.
They both blushed under their frosting and took the other's cookie with a smile.
10 YEARS LATER
Hiccup groaned as Astrid showed everyone the video.
"I was six!" He snapped.
"And I was five!" Jack whined.
"WE DIDN'T KNOW!" They both yelled as their friends and family cooed at the sight of the two little boys, who had not only baked cookies together, but ended up making them for each other.
Review!
Okay, so I was thinking, maybe I'll turn these one-shots into several small stories. What do you think?
