At the wall

And metallic

She was surprised

She put her head

She shook her head

As did the other

Drunk-off-her-ass whore

Tess kicked her leg up

Randomly

So did the other

Blue-eyed "beauty"

Tess kneeled down

Like the savage she truly is

And so did the other savage

Tess ran her hands

Through her hair

As did the other

Tess got angry

As she usually did at parties

Like this one

She sat down

On an already occupied seat

And gave the man

But let out an angry whimper

As the other slut did the same

Away from her dancing partner

And began grinding against the guy

Expecting to see the same thing

But she didn't

The girl on the wall

Just stared at Tess

And shook her head

Ashamed

As she walked away

Tess watched her go

And then looked down at her

Bloody wrist

Realizing that

Mirrors don't always tell the truth

They can lie

Just as easily as any person

And they show you

What you think you're seeing

Mirrors only show you

What you expect to see

And add the flaws

The mistakes that aren't really there

The problems that are only

A trick of the mind

So Tess looked

At the mirror again

And saw herself

Standing there

Looking back at herself

Innocently

Sadness eveident in her

Blue-gray eyes

And she finally realized

That perfection

Could never be achieved

As long as those stupid mirrors would
