A little one shot I wrote the other day :D hope you like. First time I published this I did'nt realize I only uploeaded the summary . Soooorry
She looked up at the stormy blue sky. It seemed that whenever winter came, so did the rain. She was drawn to it like a moth to a flame.
Something soft hit her, knocking her out of her reverie. It slid down her barley covered arms. She invited the cold as much as the heat from the sun. It had a way of making her feel alive. She looked up to see the first falling drops.
A small giggle escaped her as her emerald eyes twinkled in the prospect of playing in the sun. The rain began coming down harder and a flash of light streaked against the blue ink sky. Usually Gar would come out here and play with her, jump in the puddles while Rachel watched from underneath her umbrella.
Wet strands of hair started flying everywhere as she twirled and jumped into puddles, making splashes. Her red cerise hair plastered itself across her cheeks and forehead as she spun and laughed.
"Having fun?"
Immediately she stopped. She turned around slowly and came face to face with a strange man. She stumbled back in surprise and slipped in the damp slippery grass.
"Whoa there, careful," he said as he caught her. Kory blushed a less than flattering tomato red and stuttered a thanks. She suddenly became aware of the more than revealing outfit she was in, a skimpy white tank and baggy light blue jeans. Her hair loose and completely out of its previous loose bun.
"No problem. So enjoying the rain huh?"
"Hmm, yes. It is quite beautiful this time of year, contrary to what others may think." She looked at him, taking in his appearance. He was wearing a rather old black t shirt, leather jacket, and blue jeans. He hid his eyes behind black aviator glasses which made her feel more uncomfortable than before. She stood there silently, playing with her curls behind her back.
"Umm, so what brings you to the park this fine day?" he asked with a crooked grin. Her heart pounded, confused as to why she was so nervous around this man. Usually she was boisterous and outgoing around strangers. This man made her decide to do something she rarely did.
She lied.
"I'm waiting for my boyfriend," she said uncomfortably. Instantly his cocky demeanor vanished along with his oh so sly grin. He looked like a lost puppy there standing in the rain
"Oh, well, ahem, I won't keep you." He turned to leave but was stopped halfway when she shouted:
"Wait!"
He turned around slowly and raised an eyebrow. "Um, do I, uh."
She took a deep breath and started again with a determined look on her face. "Do I know you?"
He smiled softly and slowly raised his hand to his face. Gently, he removed his glasses to reveal sapphire eyes.
She blinked her malachite eyes twice before she smiled. She was a sight there in the downpour. Her emerald eyes shining, and her crimson hair glowing in the dark as she breathed out his name.
"Richard"
