Learning Activity 5-C-1

In the far off and distant land of Runescape avatars of all shapes and sizes compete in a world where quests rule and missions are a way of life. As I (Flambo8501) entered in this world confusion soon took over. One of the hardest tasks that I had to conquer was finding my bearings. Thrown into a new world with new surroundings and little knowledge of how to survive puts one's senses on a heightened level.

Once I was able to find my bearings and location in this distant world, it was time to get to work. Quests and assignments rule this world, and in my past experience I found the best way to learn what is expected is by trial and error. As with aiding the cook and destroying the blood pact to keep the peace, the best way to accomplish something is to immerse yourself in it.

One might assume that slaying of a cultist's blood pact may be more demanding then the aiding of a cook, but you would be wrong. In my quest to aide this anxious cook find the ingredients that he so desperately desired, I found myself looking around trying to figure out the best possible route an the safest way back home. The first ingredients were easy to find and return, but the mill gave me problems that I never could have imagined. Entering the catacombs and conquering the evil that lay down there was no match for figuring out just how to use the mill properly. Those three levels of the mill threw this adventurer for a loop one that he will not soon forget.

Perhaps more difficult than the actual partaking in the quest, was finding my way to the realm of Runescape itself. The struggles and conflicts here proved to be no match for what was to come at me in the actual game. Technology gaffs and problems plagued me as if it were to never happen. Once those obstacles were overtaken, it was on to Runescape and a world I was definitely not prepared for.
