AN: I do not own anything :( oh well enjoy.
The rain hits their window ever so slightly, as if not trying to disturb their peaceful moment. DI Greg Lestrade and his lover Mycroft Holmes lie in bed arms holding each other tight. No one speaks, but each stare into one another's eyes, already knowing each others' thoughts. The soft music plays in the background of the room. Mycroft sings "Wise men say, only fools rush in. But I can't help falling in love with you." Mycroft always thought love was a weakness, but Gregory came along and changed everything. Greg sings back "Shall I stay, would it be a sin. If I can't help falling in love with you." He knows its hard to have Mycroft all to himself, but it's hard letting go to the one he loves. "Like a river flows, surely to the sea."
A reassurance, to know that being in love is natural and good. Greg holds Mycroft's face in his hands "Darling so it goes. Somethings are meant to be." Comfort and truth to his lover that this is suppose to happen. That this was all fate. With tears in his eyes, Mycroft leans into Greg "So take my hand, take my whole heart too." And he knows he will. No matter if the world is ending or if there is no cake in the fridge. Gregory will always have him and no one else. Kissing the tears away, he mouths "If I can't help falling in love with you." So together they lay in bed singing what they know is fortunatly true. Mycroft rests his head on Greg's chest, listening to his heartbeat intertwine with his own; as the rain softly beats down onto their window.
