Summary: In their world good things didn't last long, but Dean was going to make sure Sam would.
Author's Notes: Thought of and written on that spot. I realize it's late, but I've had a lot on my plate. It hasn't exactly been a restful weekend.
Peace
Sam's hair was fanned out all over the pillow, surrounding his head in a wide circle. His bangs, as usual, were hiding his face.
He looked so content, so peaceful that Dean didn't have the heart to wake him up. It had to be against some law of the universe, to disturb something as beautiful as a slumbering child.
Dean spent another five minutes just drinking in his brother's sleeping face, reveling in how carefree it was. He knew it wouldn't last long, however – in their world good things never did.
But Sam would. Dean would make sure of it.
