Authors note: Hello all! I just wanted to do a one shot for Harry Potter. I haven't done one for awhile so yeah. I hope you like it.
I came to see her daddy for sit down man to man
It wasn't any secret I'd be asking for her hand
I guess that's why he left me waiting in the living room by myself
With at least a dozen pictures of her sitting on a shelf
It was no secret that Ron Weasley wasn't a big fan of Scorpius Malfoy, it also wasn't a secret that Rose Weasley and Scorpius Malfoy had been dating since their third year in Hogwarts. So it really didn't surprise Ron when he found Scorpius on his door step one day, looking nervous. It wasn't a secret that Scorpius would be asking for Rose's hand in marriage. Scorpius supposed that's why Ron left him waiting in the Weasley's living room, with many, many pictures (Wizard and muggle) of Rose around.
She was playing Cinderella
She was riding her first bike
Bouncing on the bed and looking for a pillow fight
Running through the sprinkler with a big popsicle grin
Dancing with her dad, looking up at him
In her eyes I'm Prince Charming
But to him I'm just some fella
Riding in and stealing Cinderella
Each one had a story. In one picture, a four year old Rose spun around in a dress with a toy crown on her head. She had a large smile on her face as she danced around, playing princess.
In another, she was ridding her first real broom at age ten (It looked a bit to big for her) as Ron helped her with it.
So many pictures, so many memories that were dear to Rose and her family. That's when it hit him. In Rose eyes, he was her prince, but to Ron Weasley, Scorpius was stealing his princess. Scorpius was stealing Cinderella.
I leaned in towards those pictures
To get a better look at one
When I heard a voice behind me say
"Now, ain't she something, son?"
I said "Yes, she quite a woman"
And he just stared at me
Then I realized that in his eyes she would always be
Playing Cinderella
Riding her first bike
Bouncing on the bed and looking for a pillow fight
Running through the sprinkler with a big Popsicle grin
Dancing with her dad, looking up at him
In her eyes I'm Prince Charming
But to him I'm just some fella
Riding in and stealing Cinderella
Scorpius leaned into a picture, trying to get a better look at it, that is until he heard "She something, isn't she." Scorpius turned to see Ron, leaning against the door-frame. Scorpius had a small smile on his face as he said, "Yes, she is quite a woman." But said nothing else as Ron stared at him. He knew it was because he would always see her as hislittle girl. A little girl who would dress up a muggle princess, who was trying to ride her first broom, a little girl who read her first large novel, a little girl who wanted nothing more than to dance with her father.
He knew that to Ron, he was the one stealing his Cinderella, his baby girl.
He slapped me on the shoulder
Then he called her in the room
When she threw her arms around him
That's when I could see it too
Playing Cinderella
Riding her first bike
Bouncing on the bed and looking for a pillow fight
Running through the sprinkler with a big popsicle grin
Dancing with her dad, looking up at him
If he gives me a hard time
I can't blame the fella
I'm the one who's stealing Cinderella
After a bit, Ron recovered and slapped Scorpius on the shoulder. (A little to roughly) and called Rose down. She ran down, beamed at her father and gave him a hug . At that moment, he could see it too, he could see a young Rose playing Cinderella.
I hope you like it.
