"Jessica"

"Oh hey, can't talk right now."

"We've got to talk, what was that? What happened?"

"I don't know, I think you have these feelings for Naya and you're confused."

"Jessica..." he said so softly she was caught off guard, "You know that's not true."

"Rav, I can't do this right now."

"Jess did you or did you not kiss me back?"

"I...when...I don't know...I don't know."

"Stop saying that! How can you...you know what...never mind. I'm out Jessica, don't worry about me."

"Rav!" she shouted as he walked away from her. "Rav!"

She found Joe and Lennon in the tub.

"I'm so sorry Joe," she apologises for the party, "If it helps I just ruined my life again."

"What happened?"

"Rav and I kissed, then we fought and now he's gone."

"Jessica what did you say to him?"

"Nothing, I guess that's the problem. I think he has these feelings for Naya and I was there and it's not like he has feelings for me like that."

"Jessica he's always had feelings for you like that, you know he has."

"We're just really old friends and sometimes feelings get confused."

"I never told you this but after you guys got into that huge fight at the wedding and he punched Peter, he just disappeared."

"Where?"

"I don't know but for a whole year I couldn't even contact him. I think he was just so destroyed because he thought he'd lost you."

"He never said anything."

"He doesn't have to Jess, it's pretty obvious," Joe interjected.

"It wasn't to me!" Jessica insisted.

"But now that it is, what are you going to do?"

"I don't know..."

"Do you have feelings for him Jess?"

She's silent

"Yes or no, it's that simple."

"What if it doesn't work out? I can't lose him as a friend."

"From what you're saying you're going to lose him either way."

"What am I going to do?"

"Go talk to him!"

She knocks on the door but he doesn't answer. She's starting to panic, what if she really does lose him?

She continues to knock and it's a full five minutes before he opens it.

He's almost surprised that it's her and she wonders how many times she's disappointed him.

He lets her in and she sees his bag is packed.

"You're leaving?"

He nods

"Why?"

He sighs, "Jessica why do you even care?"

"Rav, we've been friends for 10 years, I don't want to lose you."

"You cut me out of your life for 3 of those years Jess, I think you'll survive."

"Do you think that was easy for me?"

"How'd you think it was for me?"

"I was mad at you. I was in love with him."

"I know..." Rav says sadly.

"I never thought he would cheat on me and I hated you for even making me doubt him but you were right and I'm so sorry."

"I just...I just wanted you to be happy."

"What's changed?"

"Nothing has changed Jessica but don't you want the same for me?"

"Of course I do!"

"Then I have to stop pining after you because it's clear you don't want the same thing I do."

"You don't know that!"

"I don't think you know what you want and I can't wait around hoping that it's me."

"You're not even giving me a chance. I never even knew you felt this way about me."

"How could you not know?" Rav laughed softly.

"I didn't!" she laughed back

"I thought you knew. Especially after I punched Peter or that time I punched that other guy."

"I thought you were just being big brotherly."

"Don't ever say that again."

"So what do we do now?"

"I need to go Jessica and you need to figure out what you want."

"I don't want you to go."

"I've waited ten years, I think I can wait a little bit longer. I just need you to be sure."

He reaches forward and kisses her cheek.

"Bye Jess."

He picks up his bag and leaves.
