A/N Hi, everyone! This is my new story, yes, another Lucien story because I really love him! I'm so upset that he's dead, it really got to me because a lot of my favorite characters have been dying! I've added Tristan into this because i love him but this is my first time writing him as a main character so please bear with me.

Alexa Allore—Played by Holland Roden—Thousand year old Alexa is both beautiful but deadly at the same time. She has a fierce temper when pushed and is very protective of those she holds dear. Alexa, taught by both her mother and father, can be very manipulative and does not respond well to being crossed. Alexa was raised to believe that men the fight and the women pull the strings from behind the scenes. She has a sharp tongue but she does not fight her own battles unless she is forced to and she is very co-dependent on her loyal 'followers' who have no trouble doing that for her.

Love Her Madly

.

.

Since the day I left you I hear your voice in every sound
Since the day I left you I see your face in every crowd
It won't go away but every time I feel you near, I close my eyes and turn to stone
'Cause now the only thing I fear, is seeing you're better off alone

Cut out my eyes and leave me blind, cut out my eyes and leave me blind
With the weight of the world upon me I can't hold my head up high
So if you see me on the street turn away or walk on by

Girl, I told you, after all we've been through, I don't wanna be by myself
Girl, I told you, that it would tear me in two if I see you with someone else

Cut out my eyes and leave me blind, cut out my eyes and leave me blind

"AHHH!"

Tristan cried out in anger as Hayley unlatched her fangs from his neck, which was covered in several wolf bites. He ground his teeth as the hybrid pulled away from him, straightening, crossing her arms over her chest as she backed away from him, locking her lips of his blood. Hayley had joined the torturing of Tristan and had spent a long hour biting him whenever he refused to tell her anything concerning Rebekah's whereabouts.

"Don't be such a baby, or I'll give you something to really cry about."

Tristan continued to pant for breath as he retorted."You mistake me, milady. I cry out only in grief. I was so struck by your beauty when I saw you at the gala. And now, after this affront to my person, I'll be forced to pluck those lovely almond eyes from your perfectly shaped skull."

Hayley rolled her eyes at him just as Elijah, looking amused, walked into the room to join them.

"My goodness, I could watch this forever..."

Elijah sauntered over to Tristan and placed his hand on his forehead, yanking his head backward painfully.

"...If only my sister wasn't trapped in the bottom of the ocean."

Elijah let him before he continued to speak."Let me ask you again, Tristan. The coordinates, please."

Tristan groaned in pain."Mmm. If I tell you, you'll just kill me."

"Perhaps i'll just turn my attention to someone close to home, my old friend."Elijah suggested with a hum, pretending to think before he said."Aurora is far too easy, Strix are all but friends loyal to nothing but a fiend...how about an old friend of ours?"

Tristan's smirk faltered as Elijah walked around him, eyes drifting over to Hayley who looked interested as she leaned against the doorframe.

"I assure you, Elijah, our old friend is surrounded by her soldiers and can take care of herself."Tristan drawled, the flicker of worry gone from his expression.

Elijah and Tristan shared a look, Elijah's jaw clenching before he cleared his throat, looking away from the younger vampire.

"I think I'll hold off on any confessions. At least until The Strix arrive to free me and burn your home to the ground..."

Elijah turned to Hayley, who didn't look impressed by Tristan's behavior but also interested about the old friend the two had spoken about.

Hayley's brow furrowed."Elijah, what-"

"I think the pompous dick could use a little more persuasion."

Elijah smiled at Hayley before he walked out, leaving her with Tristan.

1002 A.D

Klaus pulled away from the young man he had been feeding on and sighed in pleasure. He let the body drop to the ground and looked over at his siblings still feeding on their victims. He wiped his lips, cradling the limp wrist of the man he had fed on, a guilty look on his face.

He was broke from his thoughts when he felt something pat his shoulder. He looked up to see Kol smiling down at them, a playful look in his eye.

He smiled at him."Who's ready for the next course?"

Finn shook his head in an exasperated manner.

"You are all filthy gluttons!"

Kol turned around and smirked at his eldest brother, holding out his arms."And you remain ever the dullard."

They had killed another five people, but these victims seemed to be wealthy and of high status, as opposed to the commoners they fed on earlier. Rebekah was crouched over her victim, a woman wearing a blue velvet dress, which she stroked longingly before speaking.

"Such pretty clothes."She hummed, looking down at the woman."What a shame they'll go to waste."

Elijah rolled his eyes in frustration.

"Rebekah, we have discussed this-"

"You discussed this! None of us had any say in the matter! This lot were traveling somewhere-their cart is full of silks and finery."She pointed at the cart before saying."Five of them, five of us. Wherever they were off to, why could we not simply go in their stead?"

"Masquerade as nobles from a land we do not know and whose customs we cannot begin to understand?"Elijah scoffed, shaking his head."Ridiculous!"

Rebekah gestured to around them."You saw the castle down the road! It was practically a gala! If this bunch were headed there-"

She gestured to the body scattered around on the ground.

"Look at them! They're not any better than we are. We could live as they do! At least for a time."

Elijah rolled his eyes at her words but Rebekah wouldn't give up.

"Think of it! Elijah, we can hide in plain sight. We could live ordinary lives-"

Elijah's face fell and he raised a hand, cutting off his sister.

"Silence."

Elijah focused for a moment before he gestured toward the victims' cart, and the others followed him as he went to examine it. He lifted up a blanket and flung it away, revealing a young, dark-haired man who was terrified to see them. He jumped out of the cart and attempted to flee, but Kol and Rebekah flashed in front of him and blocked his way.

Rebekah smiled at him."Well, aren't you a handsome one?"

Kol rolled his eyes at his sister and said."Looks like dessert to me..."

Kol stalked towards the man who raised his hand in a non-threatening manner.

"Wait, wait, wait! I can help you!"

They all looked at him in a curious manner. Kol started towards him again but Klaus placed a hand on his chest and pushed him back. The young man glanced at him for a moment, nodding as if saying thank you before he continued.

"Now, I-I am the personal servant to the Count de Martel, and the barriers that you just mentioned...?"He paused for a moment, a terrified look on his face."I was sent to escort these guests to his home for a lengthy stay. I know their customs, as well as the Count's habits. If you mean to pose as the family you've slaughtered here, then you'll need my help to carry out your ruse."

Rebekah pouted, glancing at her brother."Please, can we keep him?"

"Rebekah, no! What is our most important rule?"

Rebekah rolled her eyes, sighing."Never leave alive anyone-"

Her siblings chimed in and joined her."Who has seen what we are."

"Thank you very much."Elijah clapped his hands, praising his siblings."A practice that has served us very well indeed."

Elijah started forward, about to grab the man but Finn pulled him back.

"She has a point!"He said to his brother, squeezing his shoulder."He may be of use."

Kol chuckled, amused."Ah, a proper family squabble!"

Klaus stepped forward, raising his hand."Perhaps we should put it to a vote. Agreed?"

Everyone went quiet, a silent answer of agreement.

"All right, all those in favor of letting him live?"

Rebekah and Finn raised their hands.

Kol raised his hand, saying."Those inclined to gut him?"

Elijah raised his hand in agreement with Kol. They all looked at Klaus who was silent.

"Brother?"

Kol smirked, smiling at Klaus."Oh, Nik. What shall it be?"

Klaus sighed and paused for a second before starting towards the man, his face blank while the brunette looked terrified.

Present—Florence

"What do you think?"

Alexa smiled at her reflection in the mirror before she turned around and faced the vampires sitting on the long couch behind her. They looked up from either their phones or their magazines that they had been looking at while she picked out clothing, and smiled at her. She wore a casual high low black dress and black heels. Beside her lay a dozen or so bags filled with clothes that she had picked out that day during their shopping trip.

The vampires, her family, nodded in approval.

"Beautiful."

The other vampires smiled in agreement.

Alexa nodded, grinning at them before she turned around back to the mirror.

"I am epitome of both grace and beauty."

Her vampires laughed, shaking their heads before they returned to their tasks at hand, which were, no doubt, concerning their safety and comfort. The female vampire giggled, twirling around in a small circle, checking the dress at every angle before she paused when a loud ring echoed throughout the clothing store which was bare due to their compulsion. She ignored it as Anton, her eldest vampire, answered the call, standing up and walking away to speak.

She turned her attention to the young woman waiting by the mirror for her orders.

"Do you have this in any other color?"

The young woman nodded and walked off, going to get the same dress in another color.

A moment later, Anton came into her view, holding out the phone.

"Alexa?"

She looked at the man's reflection in the mirror."Yes, Anton?"

"There's a call for you. It is an old friend...Aya."

Alexa shrugged at the mention of the younger vampire."...hang up."

Anton shook his head, a worried look in his eyes.

"She says that it's important."Anton pressed, holding out the phone."It cannot wait."

She paused, knowing that he wouldn't press if it wasn't important and held out her hand, accepting the phone. She nodded at her vampires, and they, knowing that she wanted to be alone, smiled at her before standing up and walking off. She cleared her throat and brought the phone to her ear, not looking forward to the conversation with the female vampire she wasn't fond of.

"Hello, Aya."

"Alexa, it's been a long time."

Alexa smoothed down her dress, eyes on her reflection."Not long enough. What's happened?"

"The Mikaelson's have taken one of our brethren captive."

Alexa rolled her eyes, skipping away from the full length mirror, sitting on the long couch, leaning back against it comfortably.

"What's it to me? I'm sure Tristan can-"

Aya cut her off by speaking calmly.

"The Mikaelson's have taken Tristan."

Alexa straightened, the lazy smile fading from her lips as she processed what Aya had told her.

"I told him not to-"Alexa cut himself off before she went off on a rant and sighed before she finally asked."And Lucien? Is he-"

She rolled her eyes once more as the younger female vampire chuckled before she responded."Not that Lucien is any of my concern but your precious Lucien walked free unscathed but he is under threat by Niklaus because he took captive one of his dear friends."

"That does sound like Lucien."

"Why are you calling me? You should be storming into the Mikaelson home like a pack of mangy dogs."

"We would but we do not want to lose any men. We plan to imprison Elijah and free Tristan all in one go."Aya simply answered, before adding."And the reason i'm calling you is because if the Mikaelson's are willing to capture Tristan then they will be coming after-"

"Me? I sincerely doubt it."

Before Aya could respond the female vampire pressed the red button, hanging up on her.

"Because i'll be coming after them first."

1002 A.D

"You've proven to be an immense help."

Lucien, who had been watching the Count de Martel speaking with Elijah, turned his head to see Klaus standing beside him. The human smiled bashfully at Klaus before he nodded, laughing in a nervous manner.

"Oh. Of course, my lord."

Klaus smiled at the human, hands behind his back before he said."Though, I must say, you don't seem at all disturbed about leading us into your master's home."

"My master is a cruel drunkard who torments his minions for sport."Lucien said, looking over at his master, bitterness in his eyes."Beggars who seek supper. Vassals who cannot pay a debt... like my own father."

Klaus nodded in understanding, sighing."Ah".

"All these gentile folk, behind their silks and their jewels, are slavers. Killers."Lucien spat, becoming angrier with every word he hissed."Whatever evil you are, you walk among greater evil still."

Klaus, impressed by the human's passion, looked at Lucien curiously, but Lucien just looked at the Count with hate before he turned to the vampire.

"What do I care if you kill the lot of them?"

Suddenly, the attendants of the party bagan to whisper amongst themselves as a man and two woman enter the room. The two women walked slowly in arm and arm while the male trailed behind them. Klaus turned to see what everyone was talking about and was immediately taken by the beauty of the redheaded woman before turning back to Lucien.

He leaned closer to Lucien."Who are they?

The two watched as the man and two women walked across the room to greet the Count.

"Oh, the Count's children-the Lord Tristan, the Lady Aurora."He gestured to the redheaded woman before the light auburn headed woman."And, finally, the Lady Alexa...Lord Tristan seeks to marry her when she turns eighteen."

Klaus' eyes landed on Aurora before he whispered."She is exquisite."

Lucien nodded, eyes on the other woman who was whispering to Aurora, clearly taken with Alexa. He cleared his throat, attention quickly returning to Klaus.

"Ah, yes."Lucien laughed, understanding which woman Klaus had been talking to about."Um, as her brother is wicked, might I suggest that you avoid them completely?"

Klaus raised an eyebrow, clearly amused.

"But would she really be a threat, even to one like me?"

Lucien laughed again in a nervous manner as he stared at Alexa out of the corner of his eye. The light auburn haired woman noticed him looking at her and she smiled at her friend before turning back to Aurora.

"I've heard that he Lady Aurora doesn't need teeth to tear a man's soul out."

Klaus chuckled."Ah."

The two men quickly returned their attention to the object of their desires.

Present—New Orleans

"He's knocked out...he's exhausted."

Elijah pulled his silk napkin out of it's pocket and unfolded it before wiping the blood from his hands that had gotten there by his rough beating on Tristan. He cleared his throat, leaning against the railing of the stairs, glancing back into the front room where Tristan was slumped forward, sweat coating his forehead. Hayley shrugged, also looking back at the male vampire with a bored look.

Hayley pursed her lips, looking up at Elijah."He's no fun."

The two slipped into an uncomfortable silence before Elijah spoke.

"If you have something to say, Hayley, say it otherwise we are going to stand here in awkward silence."

"Who is this old friend? Whoever it is seemed to almost make Tristan break."

Elijah sighed, hands meeting in front of him."She is a vixen from Niklaus' bloodline but that doesn't stop her undying loyalty to Tristan and vice versa. She is also the matriarch of her own little cult that are devoted to her."

"Another Strix?"

Elijah nodded."Not as powerful but they work together when need be. She has her own circle of witches and vampires at her disposal but they aren't many in numbers."

"So what's her connection to Tristan?"

"It's a long story, Hayley, I don't wish to bore you-"

"She's a threat to those I love, Elijah, I need to know.

"Hayley-"

"Tell me about her. What's her name?"

Elijah let out a long breath, looking reluctant to go into it but Hayley's expression told him that she wan't going to give up. He was quiet for a long time before he nodded.

"Alexa Allore."Elijah finally said, straightening as he added."Alexa lived with the de Martel family after her family died with the plague, leaving her alone. Their father, the Count de Martel, was close friends with her own father so he took her in. She became close with the de Martel children, mainly Tristan and she also bonded strongly with their servant, Lucien over the years."

"Which one was she romantically inv-"

"Neither."Elijah shook his head."That's the magic about it, she was not involved with either of them. She was the beam of sun for Tristan's darkness and a sign of hope for Lucien, the only person who treated him like a human being. The two found themselves utterly transfixed with her, she was the be all and end all, there was no world without her."

"Then you came into the picture." Hayley said, piecing it all together.

"Exposing Lucien's feelings for Alexa as Niklaus got closer to Aurora, who already knew about her brother's feelings for the girl."

"A conflict that was already between Lucien and Tristan, boiled over when Tristan found out about Lucien's feelings for Alexa and he tortured Lucien until the Niklaus saved him. Niklaus beat Tristan close to death until i saved Tristan. Lucien was turned by Niklaus...and he convinced my brother to turn Alexa so that he could be with her for all of time. "

"But you had already turned Tristan."

"Yes."Elijah whispered, a blank look in his eyes.

"Beginning their eternal battle for her heart."

Elijah nodded, staring at nothing.

"Leaving a devastating trail of bloodshed in their wake."
