Guess who's back? Yeah... It's been quite a while since I've uploaded anything new on and I actually planned to update my KKM fic before I did anything new. However, this fic just seemed to beg me to post it here, so I thought I'd post it just to make sure I haven't lost my touch or anything. Not that I'm sure I had a touch to begin with, but I'm sure everyone understands.

Summary: Maybe he was just sick of it all; looking for a convinient excuse to get away from everything.

Warnings: Slight AkuRoku and OOC-ness on Roxas' part.

Disclaimer: I do not own KH or any of the characters

"This boy..."

His lips quivered with every word as he sifted through the innumerable photographs that littered the ground in front of him. Photos of a brunette boy, one whose smile seemed to tear at his non-existent heart. And even when he looked upset or angry, the boy's eyes still held a glimmer of gaiety.

"His name is Sora." The tall redhead who stood behind him muttered softly. Although there seemed to be an icy overtone to his voice, his eyes seemed to be clouded with a look of unease.

"I..." He began in a low voice; clutching a handful of photos to his chest. "I want to meet him." He finished, his voice barely fitting the definition of a 'whisper'.

In the blink of an eye, the redhead had him by the shoulders, and whipped him around - eyes narrowed in a threatening glare. "No." He growled. "It's a bad idea, Roxas."

"But..." Starring back, the flurry could see that his eyes were glazed with the memory of a distant life. Reaching up, he placed his gloved hand on Axel's and untwined his friend's hand from his cloak; pulling it close to him. "He needs me..."

"You're not him, Roxas."

"Then who exactly am I, Axel?" His voice was quite, but Axel could make out the distinct undertone of someone on the verge despair. "Look at him, Axel. This-" He whimpered, shoving a photo of the boy, in his face, "This is me, Axel. This is who I'm supposed to be. But... I'm not..." He trailed off, eyes becoming more distant with each second.

"You don't have to be someone else, Roxy." Axel cooed. "Just be yourself."

"A nobody?"

Unsettling silence fell upon them as the younger boy's eyes fell upon him, searching his features and begging for some kind of answer.

'Please...tell me I'm wrong.

Tell me that I'm not worthless...

Tell me that I'm something in stead of just nothing

Try as he might, Axel's mouth failed him for once and he couldn't think of anything with which to calm the fire that now burned in his friend's eyes.

After another few moments of silence, the boy stood up - shoulders trembling slightly.

"I'm leaving the organization."
