A/N: After watching The Nine Lives of Torelei, I wondered if, perhaps, there could be some shipping potential between Spectra and Torelei.
Being the top authority on all gossip throughout Monster High, Spectra became well-acquainted with many of her fellow classmates. Though she preferred to stay in the shadows, it wasn't impossible for monsters to find out who was running the infamous gossip blog and try to get in good with her.
This was how she ended up getting to know Torelei Stripes.
Of course, she preferred the company of Frankie and Cleo and the ghouls, but when she was given the opportunity to do a tell-all video on the werecat that had caused them so much grief, she couldn't resist. The ghouls assured her that it was fine, and so she went into it with an unbiased journalist view, though she was wary.
It was strange to get to hear the story of how Torelei came to be, and Spectra wondered if it were true at first, but she found herself unable to doubt the cat girl. Even if she did, it wasn't like she could outright accuse her of lying.
But, while believing her wasn't that strange, the ghost began to feel something that was quite strange. Despite the obvious vileness Torelei was known to possess, there was something about her that seemed almost forgivable. Almost...likeable. And while she knew it was a betrayal of her close friends, Spectra felt herself developing a fondness for the werecat, against all odds.
Was it the insight into why she behaved the way she did? Was it the long hours spent interviewing her and creating the video? Spectra wasn't sure.
She was sure, however, that when Torelei squealed her approval of the final product, that if she had a heart, it would have certainly been pounding.
A/N: I'm really rusty on my writing, and the style of this seems a little too awkward and choppy, but hopefully I'll get back into the swing of writing soon enough.
