It was a quarter past eight. Mrs Nara(Yes, they are married so I call her Mrs Nara. Any problem with that? If yes, then please review. ) noted the time while folding her arms, her feet tapping impatiently with a rhythm. Just then, she heard a car's engine die down just outside her house.
"That jerk(…Shikamaru-san is not a jerk…) is back" Temari thought as the wooden door with cravings decorated heavily on it opened.
"I got a bad feeling about this…" Shikamaru said to himself as he walked through the only obstacle that was originally closed, blocking him and his wife.
"Do you know what time is it now?"Temari ranged.
" You're late by fifteen minutes!!!Don't you know that if we're late the restaurant will give our table to other people?"
Her ranting continued as Shikamaru raised up both of his hand surrendering while saying," Alright, alright. I'm sorry, okay?"
"You better not let me catch you late again! Understood?"
"Sorry ,I was held up by work. The Godaime Hokage Tsunade-hime asked me to work late for her." Shikamaru sighed. Only this reason could save him from listening to the "Temari's-tons-of-reasons-for-me-to-get-scolded" session.
"Alright now get changed!" Temari spoke in a motherly manner, but with a serious tone under that.
After Shikamaru had changed into a raven black suit, the couple swiftly drove to the restaurant.
Luckily, they made it on time. Temari was appeased.
It was their sixth wedding anniversary, Temari didn't want to make a fuss over the issue that Shikamaru was late.
If is was a normal day, excluding anything important, she would then start her lecture that will usually end about an hour or so.

Shikamaru pulled the hand brakes before unfastening his seat belt. All the buzzing and noise made from the engine was gone all of a sudden.
Being a gentleman only for that day, he went out of the car, slamming the door before opening Temari's side of the door(I don't know what's that call.) and inviting her out as if she was a royalty.
What first greeted them was the sight of people walking around the restaurant, and then there was a waitress greeting them.
They had a great candle lit dinner that night. They even ordered a bottle of a bomb costing champagne to celebrate the occasion.
In normal times, it would be a sinful indulgence to them; they were not very wealthy.
Just then, Shikamaru took something out of his pocket.
It was a small black box with a diamond ring inside.
When Temari saw that ring, she was on cloud nine and gave him a bear hug, suffocating him.
After they had finished their meal, Shikamaru gestured to the waitress while asking for the bill.
He was about to reach for his purse when he discovered that it was missing.
His face immediately turn tomato red.
"I…I need to go to th-the bath-urgh-washroom for a wh-while."He fuddled with the words.
Temari was astonished by his action, and so decided to follow him to the washroom.
She found him just outside the door, thinking with the …er…special handsign.(remember the time when Temari fought Shikamaru?)
When Shikamaru saw Temari, he explained everything to her.
There was a pregnancy pause.
They were both thinking for a solution.
Just then, Temari caught a glimpse of her diamond ring which Shikamaru had just bought for her.
"We can use leave this with them and then go home and take the money."Temari suggested.
After thinking for a while, Shikamaru said,
"This seems to be the only way out."
What a occasion to remember indeed!
