You're the One Who's Blind: A Taang Fic
Summary: Toph is sick of Aang treating her like she's fragile; she's the Blind Bandit, she can do anything! And she doesn't need anyone… or does she?
"Stop treating me like a baby!" There was a WHOOSH of air; Aang was protecting himself from a boulder Toph had sent flying his way.
"You always do this! I can do things for myself, you know!" she added indignantly. Katara watched from afar; Sokka and Zuko had gone into town for supplies.
"I'm sorry, Toph," the Avatar said as he approached her slowly. "I guess I forget how strong my teacher is." Katara didn't have to see his face to know he was smiling at the Earthbender.
"Well, don't forget again!" she replied, but there was a flicker of a grin around her face.
"Do you want to train some more?" Aang asked.
"Sure," Toph answered, "That is, if you think a weakling like me is up for it!" And with that, she bended a wall to come crashing down on him. He fled from it, flying through the air.
"Hey, where'd you g—" Suddenly Aang was beside her.
"You're not as tough as you act," he whispered in her ear. "What are you afraid of? What is it that makes you look so nervous around me?"
"If you don't know the answer to that," the Earthbender said, turning away from him pointedly, "You're the one who's blind, Aang!"
Katara rolled her eyes. She'd heard most of the dialogue, and it seemed pretty obvious that the two weren't going to admit their feelings for each other. Psssh…
