Through some kind of alchemy the lovers had been transformed back into the two no nonsense detectives of the Major Case Squad. Unbeknownst to the world they had spent the past year learning and loving each other. They promised that they would be careful while on the job - no lingering glances, no public displays of affection, and no touching. But Alex did touch him - if but for only a moment as they were leaving the florist. It was raining and he held an umbrella for her, a rather daring move on his part, and her hand was on his. She quickly corrected herself but it was too late. She could not hide the depths of her love. It was written in her mind and all over her face.
