Summary: This is what happens when George and Alanna arrive in the Copper Isles. The catch is that George hasn't told Alanna about Aly's connection to the new Copper Isle's regime.
"Time to go Thom," Lady Alanna called to her son as she headed out the door and towards the stables to fetch her horse.
"Coming," Thom replied. As he started for the door, he noticed his father grinning from ear to ear. "What's up Da?"
"Everyone's in for a big surprise when we get to the palace." He smirked playfully and finished tacking his horse.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Thom asked.
George did not reply.

They arrived with minimal fanfare, this was just a few dignitaries greeting the new queen of the Copper Isles.
In the throne room, George still started at the sight of the little girl he'd seen at Tanair wearing a crown and sitting on the throne. And his daughter had helped to put her there.
"Greetings, Sir Alanna, Baron Cooper, Master Salmalin, Lady Salmalin, Master Thom Cooper, Dragon Skysong, Basilisk Tkaa," Queen Dovasary Balitong said, careful to greet all mortals and Immortals that were present.
"Greetings, your Majesty," said George, bowing stately. Rising, he smiled, "You have risen in the world since last we met."
Alanna, Thom and everyone else shot George questioning looks.
Dove grinned too. "The same could be said of you, Master Cooper."
Now, everyone was staring at them both. "Have you two met before?" Alanna inquired stiffly, masking her suprise.
Before either could reply, a girl with strawberry blonde hair and green hazel eyes threw herself into the room through a side door. "Sorry I'm late, did they get…here…yet?" Her voice faded when she saw most of her family staring at her in shock. Her father was smiling. Did he not tell them I was here?
"Spymaster, you were supposed to arrive before the Tortallan delegation did," Dove chastised her.
She dipped her head to the queen. "My deepest apologies, there was an emergency." Then she bowed to the Tortallans. "Welcome to the Copper Isles, Mother, Father, Older Brother, Aunt Daine, Uncle Numair, Tkaa, Kitten."
"Aly," Thom yelled, completely forgetting protocol and rushing forward to embrace his sister who'd been missing for over a year. So this was the surprise his father had mentioned.
They broke apart and Aly faced her mother. She was staring at her daughter in numb shock. "Mother."
"Aly," was all she could manage.
A second later, they were both sobbing and hugging. Behind them, the head of the Queen's Guard, Taybur Sibigat leaned down to address Dove. "You might have mentioned this earlier," he muttered.
"What, and miss the theatrics? Never."
They watched the happy reunion without further ado.
