This is my first fanfic so please don't judge it too harshly

A hollow screeching filled the air, Tory Brennan woke up with a start, that again the screeching continued and Tory concluded that she probably won't be getting back to sleep she glanced at the digital clock on her bed side table, she groaned 4:23, in the morning, on the first day of the summer holidays, what a great start (please note sarcasm) oh well I might as well have breakfast she thought and quickly climbed down the stairs, popped some toast into the toaster, grabbed some jam from the self and took what remained of the butter out of the fridge, she also took inventory of all the foods and concluded to ask Kit to go and buy some groceries on his way home from work. After eating breakfast she lay on the couch with nothing to do Cooper – her wolf dog was sill fast asleep in his dog bed in her bedroom and wasn't likely to wake up any time soon, her friends were also probably still asleep because who on this earth would be up this early on the first day of the summer holidays oh she thought dryly me. Tory then turned to the T.V and looked through all the channels and surprisingly enough there was absolutely nothing to watch so she turned it on to the news and started to drift off into the land of nod.Boom. The sound reverberated around the room and Tory woke once again with a start, she looked around for the cause of the explosion that tore at her ears only to realize it was the TV, she took a deep breath to steady her nerves and then turned to the TV to listen to what the news reporter was saying "those were pictures of what happened earlier this morning in Dc, freak explosions ripped through the middle of DC, there are three known deaths" Three images flashed across the screen " the cause is currently unknown the police say a terrorist group is the cause but as similar events have happened in a small town in Japan called Karakura town ..." the news reporter carried on but Tory had stopped listening while the news reporter was speaking they had cut to some armature footage of the explosion and Tory had seen something that made her blood run cold, a huge monster with a ghoulish mask and a huge hole through the center of its body, it looked like a giant centipede it had lots of legs, but she somehow knew that this thing should not be there or even alive.
