Chapter 1: Shadow of the Day
Kim walk's over to the window and glances out at the dark stormy night sky. She closes both locks below the window. Takes one last look as water drops ran down the window. She closes both the blinds and turns away. "Sometimes solutions aren't so simple." Kim walks over to her closet. "Sometimes goodbye's the only way." She grabs the luggage she had pack and walks out the door.
As Kim walked down the street the sun was beginning to set as the shadow of the day begin to embrace the world in gray. She kept repeating, "Sometimes goodbye's the only way." It was almost like the sun was setting for her.
She stopped and took in the view. The dark orange at the bottom of the sky with each layer getting lighter going up. The way the sun glisten on the trees causing a beautiful scenery. Made her think about the card she left in the flowers on her window.
Her friends and family all pleaded for her to stay. Kim knew, goodbye would be the only option. She wasn't scared at all. Beside's she had no other choice. As she turned around she realized she was far away from where she was. There were miles between us. "I miss you." She was standing under the stars. "And I wish you were here. To see the sunshine light up your face. I miss all the little things. I never thought that they'd mean everything to me." Kim throw her fists down to the ground facing a grave.

"I can still feel the beating of your heart, the shadows of your face. Just know that wherever you are, I love and miss you." She began to cry. "It's all my fought." Whimpers.
Shego stood in the distance watching as a red headed girl fall to her knees. Shego was on a mission to steal something completely useless. Which doesn't matter as she watched and got closer she noticed it was Kim. Then she seen the name on the grave. No wonder she hasn't been fighting or saving the world lately. "Kim?" Shego, asked.
Kim whips away the tears and turns around. "Shego?" Much to her surprise it was.
Shego watched as Kim turned around. Kim's once fluffy hair was now a tangle miss. Her shirt looked a week old with tears and rips. The pants the girl wear were almost burned completely. Nothing beat the look on the girls face. She was neutral. As though she didn't know rather to run away forever or kill a bunch of people. Shego knew the face far to bad. "You alright?" Shego, asked.
As Kim stared at Shego she didn't know rather Shego was being concerned or it didn't matter. She thought to herself. "No, I'm not alright." Kim, told her.
"What you doing out here?" Shego, asked.
"Does it matter?" Kim, asked.
"Of course it does. What happened?" Shego, asked.
"Isn't it obvious. I got 'him' killed." Kim, answered with a whimper.
"It's late shouldn't you be home." Shego, asked.
"I can't go back. Its all 'my' fought, there better off with out me." Kim, answered.
Shego looked at Kim not knowing rather she should feel happy that someone defeated Kim or be pissed about it. "It's late, bad side of town. Your coming with me, you need a vacation." Shego, said taking Kim with her in the hover craft.
To Shego's surprise Kim didn't try to fight back. The girl has really given up. "So, your not going to try and stop me?" Shego, asked and Kim shook her head no. "I don't know the details of what happened and I don't need to know but, I can't stand to see you all defeated. Beside's if anyone is going to defeat you it's going to be 'me'." Shego, said.
"Too late, I defeated myself and...Ron. I failed." Kim, whispered and dropped her head. Shego watched.
"You are just beating yourself up. You didn't fail, you just didn't win." Shego, stated.
"Shego. I lost. Like it or not, I am finished. I'm broken." Kim, said with a straight face.
After about a few hours Kim watched as they entered a little cabin in the middle of a snow resort.
"Welcome to my little getaway, cupcake." Shego, told her.
"Why are you being so, nice?" Kim, asked her.
"I am not going soft!" Shego, retorted.
"Never said 'you were'." Kim, retorted back.
"Lets just go in." Shego, told her while gesturing Kim to go in.
As Kim was entering the cabin she stopped at the entrance. "Shego. Thank you."
