Maybe, Never

by zarrondrea

She was the new girl. Young, naïve and trusting, oh so trusting, of everyone. She hadn't learned that people take advantage of that. She set her heart up to get smashed. At least that's what everyone thought. But she wasn't stupid. She was just a good actress, in the world where you had to be one to live.

He was experienced in the affairs of the Rich and Famous. Hollywood. He had given them their own category. He was the boy that everyone left alone, because he was stupid, when he was anything but. He just hid it well.

When they met, she didn't talk to him. But she saw behind is facade of stupidity, and saw that he was constantly watching, that he knew every dirty little secret of everyone. But she was the only one.

When they met, he observed her. More closely than he had anyone. He saw behind the little acts she put up to act naïve and stupid, because he saw the hidden laughter in her eyes when everyone had to explain things to her.

When they started talking, she knew he could see the real her. That he knew she wasn't naïve, and that maybe her trust in her "friends" was fake. And she fell for the guy who could effortlessly see the real her.

When they started talking, he knew she could tell he knew people. That he wasn't stupid and that maybe he was more observant that anyone in the room. And he fell for the girl who didn't care about the mask, only about the guy underneath.

When they started dating, they both knew the rumors. His best friends and band mates said they would never make it. Her friends said they were never ever supposed to like each other this way and they'd snap out of it.

But both of them knew that was never the case. The were meant to be. She was a constant in his life, and he in her's.

But the rest of the world can't see that. So when he holds her hand, kisses her, dances with her, sings with her, goofs off with her, and proposes to her, he's thinking of their tomorrow. The tomorrow in which no one says they will never be together, that they will break-up.

And she is thinking the same thing.

So they get married. They saw the vows and prove to the whole world, that their maybe, um, never was their gonna be tomorrow.

And all because of Jason and Sonny's masks.

Like it, hate it? i could care less.

Just remember, if the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off.
