It was over. Leomon had fallen. Ogremon stood over his defeated opponent.

"What are you going to do?" asked Leomon.

"The same think you'd do if I had fallen," said Ogremon, extending a hand to Leomon. "Help you get back up."

Leomon reached for his rival's hand, and stumbled slightly as Ogremon helped him to his feet.

"This isn't over, Ogremon," he said.

"Naturally," agreed Ogremon as Leomon walked away.

Cyclonemon roared as he led out a blast of flame. Another village fell before him. It was almost too easy.

"Cyclonemon," said a voice from behind him, "your fight is with me."

"At last," hissed the dragon, turning to see Leomon, "a challenge."

"Your last," replied Leomon.

"Hyper Heat!" shouted the dragon-like Digimon, letting loose a blast of flame.

"Fist of the Beast King!" shouted Leomon. He fought back valiantly, but it wasn't enough.

"Pummel Whack!" shouted another voice. Cyclonemon hissed as another attack hit him from behind.

"Ogremon!" shouted Leomon.

"Fool!" snarled Cyclonemon.

"Ogremon, leave!" said Leomon. "This is not your fight!"

"It is now!" replied Ogremon. "Now, come get some, you overgrown iguana!"

"Ahh, more fresh meat," snarled Cyclonemon. He lunged at Ogremon, who leapt out of the way, smacking the much larger Cyclonemon across the face with his bone club in mid-leap.

Ogremon touched ground next to Leomon. "Pummel Whack!" shouted Ogremon.

Leomon followed his lead. "Fist of the Beast King!"

Cyclonemon fell, but soon got up, bringing Ogremon to the ground with a sweep of his massive tail. While he was distracted, however, Leomon leapt onto the massive beast's back and stuck his sword through its spine. After a few shreiks of pain, the monster was no more.

The next thing Ogremon saw was Leomon standing over him.

"What are you going to do?" he asked.

"The same thing you would do if I had fallen, replied Leomon with a smile. "Help you get back up."

Ogremon gladly accepted the help. After all, this rivalry wasn't about hate.

It was about respect. And as, the two rivals shook hands and parted ways, they both knew that the other knew this.

"With an enemy like Leomon," said Ogremon, "who needs friends?"

The end.
