Hello, there everyone! I'm not sure if this should even be called a story since is so short and it's more like a drabble. Oh, well. Anyways, this is a story that had come to me a long time ago but I didn't know how to put it into words. At first I was going to make it a conversation between Sakura and some random little girl of the village, then changed the idea to Sakura´s twelve year-old daughter to make it more "mature", and finally decided on her five-year old daughter, because it's cuter that way.
Ok, on with the story. Please leave comments (a.k.a. reviews) please, I´d really like to know what you think, since this is my first Naruto fanfic. Ok, I´ll stop talking. Enjoy!
"Mummy?" asked her five year old daughter, pulling her skirt.
"Yeah, sweetie?" said Sakura, while busily preparing dinner.
"Umm… can I ask you something?" she said, looking a little embarrassed.
"Sure, honey!" Sakura said with a small smile, looking at the small child.
"When you were young… what was your type?" said the girl, now blushing with a cute shade of pink.
"My type?" asked Sakura curiously, as her daughter's face turned redder "As in… boys?"
"Yeah…"
"Well, I guess I liked boys with dark hair and pale skin..." she said, remembering the old days for a moment.
Her daughter nodded for a moment, confusion flickering in her eyes, and then mixing with something that looked like worry.
"What's wrong, sweetie?"
"But… Daddy isn't like that at all! Don't you like Daddy?"
Sakura laughed, understanding her daughter's preoccupation. "Of course I do, honey. I love your Daddy very much." she said with a bright smile.
"But then… why didn't you marry a dark-haired boy instead?" asked the girl, truly not understanding.
"Because…" said Sakura with a small smile, looking at her husband through the kitchen window for a minute "no dark-haired boy could ever love me like that blond goof over there."
Her daughter just smiled widely, understanding for the first time in her short years, the true meaning of the word love.
Umm... yeah the ending was kind of cheesy but... whatever... As you may have noticed, this is a NaruSaku implied story, my very first as I mentioned before. So, once again, I'd love to hear what you thought of it! Thanks!
