Ariana was pulled roughly through the dark corridors of the headquarters. As usual, nobody bothered to tell her where the heck she was going. With an annoyed humph she followed obediently, trying to figure out what they needed her for. Ariana and the guards practically ran up the seven sets of stairs until they had reached the top level. She had only been up this far once when she began her training, but with many other new recruits.

When the door was opened, her amber eyes scanned the windowless room. Lanterns lit up the corners, candles flickered on the admiral's desk. "You needed me Sir?" Ariana questioned.

"Yes, but please sit. We have a lot to discuss," he replied as he motioned to the straight-backed chair that stood before the mahogany desk. She took her seat quickly, sitting with the perfect posture that they pounded into as a child. "I understand that you've been under my command since you were practically eight years old."

"That's correct Sir," she replied with a nod. She had no clue where this was going.

"From looking at records, you've exceeded in your group, becoming one of the most advanced recruits I've seen in a very long time," he said causing a smile to flicker on Ariana's face. "I have a mission for you Ariana." She knew this day would come, she just didn't expect it to be today. "The Avatar is alive. I need you to find him and capture him." Her insides began to twist into knots, He wants me to find the Avatar? Was he crazy? I'm only 15 years old! her head was screaming, but her expression remained calm. The years in the camp had helped her with that. "You won't be alone. I've selected another recruit to assist you. His name is Rigel, he will be meeting with you soon at a ron-de-vu point. You will be supplied with whatever you need. I expect updates on a weekly basis. No one is to know about this mission. Am I clear?"

"Yes Sir," she replied.

"Then you are dimissed, go directly to the fifth floor where a commander will de-brief you, then you are to collect your things and meet the commander again and he will escort you to the ron-de-vu point."

"Yes Sir." And with that, she followed the Admiral's orders.
