A/N: You're all going to think I'm such a tard after this, but I thought of this idea to write a Klaroline story/One-shot while I was in the shower. Ah, I can hear you laughing now. xD

Read & Review please. I really want to know what you think since it's my first time writing for a different ship other then Stelena. :3

She was at home now, tossing and turning in bed. Sweat bead down on her forehead and she groaned in pain, a dry cough following soon after. "Here," her mother, Liz said as she handed Caroline the glass of blood. Caroline took a sip and sighed, "Thanks." She nearly muttered out. It had been almost an hour since Tyler had bit her, and she hated him with every ounce of her being now. What a wonderful way to spend my birthday, she thought to herself bitterly.

"Caroline?" she heard her mother's voice.

"Yes?" she answered meekly.

"Someone's here to see you." Was her mother's reply.

A moment later he stood in her doorway. She never would've expected him to be here, and visiting her none the less. "Klaus." She said softly. He nodded, "I heard about Tyler."

"You were the one that made him do it." She bit back, as she sat up in bed.

"I never would want to bring harm to you," he said taking a step closer to her. She scoffed and shook her head, her voice suddenly becoming weak.

"You're here to kill me?" she asked shakily.

"No. And on your birthday?" he asked with a raised brow. "Do you really think so low of me, Caroline?" he asked her.

She nodded softly, "It would be your choice to die sweetheart." Klaus added. "Not mine, and certainly not anyone else's." he said, as he bit into his wrist. He held out to her, "It's your choice, love." Tears stung in her eyes, and she didn't want to show weakness around him. She couldn't help it though, letting a tear slide down her cheek. "I don't want to die." She whispered.

He inched his wrist forward a bit, "It's your choice." He repeated softly.

Caroline nodded, leaning forward she took his wrist into her mouth and began to drink. Feeling the warm, rich liquid run down her throat she sighed. As she drank he rubbed soothing circles on her back. Pulling away she nodded, "Thank you." She whispered, wiping any remaining blood off of her lips.

"You're welcome." He finished. Klaus stood up to leave as he saw Caroline beginning to fall asleep.

"Happy Birthday Caroline." He whispered, kissing her forehead he slipped out of her room quietly.
