Summary: Last year of high school.
Disclaimer: I don't own Brooklyn Nine-Nine or the characters.

At the beginning of the school year, Jacob Peralta was dropped off at school by his mother, Karen. He was eager to start his last year of high school, just another step towards his long-life dream of becoming an NYPD officer.

As he climbed up the stairs to the lockers, he found his best and longest friend Regine, aka Gina. He started to get closer to her, and as he did that he saw a group of people surrounding her. In the middle was someone he didn't want to see. At all. Amelia Santiago, his crush. It started out as a flirty, bickering friendship but quickly became more than that. Each step he took became slower and slower and he finally started to hear what they were saying. Or better, what Gina was saying. She was telling them stories from their childhood, purposely leaving out her embarrassing moments, obviously. He could not believe what was happening. That was so embarrassing!

By the time he was near them, the conversation came to an end. Everyone disappeared, except for Gina.

She laughed at his I'm-trying-to-be-mad face, and quickly linked their arms and walked to class with, smiling softly.

In the end of that miserable first day, Jake would be kissed under a flight of stairs by the prettiest girl in school, Amelia.

The End

This was a writing assessment that I had a few months ago. I used the exact same characters, same words, same everything. My teacher said something about needing another sentence to explain the last part, but I decided not to write it here.

(She only said it when she handed the paper back, so it's not on the paper either.)

Anyway, I'll leave the why's and how's to you, the reader.

Hope everyone likes it!
