Chapter One: the accident.
"I never realized the finale buzzer would be just that. The finale sounds that still rings in my head, the last thing of that night I can clearly remember."
Friday night fever. The crowd was on the edge of the seat as the finale seconds of the game was winding down. The band kids were packing up their interments and slowly heading towards the bus, on the opposite end of the school. A group of woodwinds lagged behind, waiting to hear if their team was going to finales. "COME ON ANNABELLE I need you saxophone up here" the tall blonde tuba player said as he jumped on the end on the buss loading it like every game. With a sigh the girl ran from the group, her clonking class beating her in the leg with every step. She handing it to him as she heard the crowd roar. "Looks like we won" she said as she climbed up in the yellow bus. She quickly sat down with her band mates. The chatter was louder then normal, with the excitement of their 10 game win.
The noise settled down as the team began to fall asleep from the hour bus ride.
The band director stood up to face his bandkids "okay guys, well, we're getting close to home so you can start calling for a ride. Next week is state, soo we nee-" he was cut off by a semi truck smashing into the bus.
Annabelle woke up with tubes sticking out of her arms and torso. She was in dyer pain. And everything was a blur. She looked around to the white walls the surrounded her. she looked to the to in the corner. "coming up, the bus crash that took the lives of 48 band members and a bus driver of the local school, more on that at 11" she felt tears stream down her face. All her friends had died. "48…" she says to her self. "2 survived….. I have to find…." She blacked out again. The scene replaying in her head as she slept.
