2 MONTHS SINCE THE BEGGINING OF THE SCHOOL YEAR
Phineas tapped his foot on the floor out of boredom, waiting for his teacher to arrive in class.
"Hey Ferb, what time is it?" Phineas asked.
Ferb looked at his watch, then showed it to Phineas.
"9:15? Woah, Ms. Smith is really late today." Phineas shrugged.
"Well, maybe she's just checking if we all turned in Thursday's homework." Isabella suggested.
Phineas shrugged.
"Maybe."
Suddenly the classroom door swung open. A pretty young blonde woman with big green eyes walked into the classroom with a huge grin on her face. This was their teacher, Ms. Smith.
Phineas looked to Ferb worriedly. Usually when she had that grin on her face, she planned to give an extra homework assignment, or have the class stay in to play math games instead of going to recess.
"Ok class, I have a special surprise for everyone!"
Phineas shot his hand up.
"Yes Phineas?" Ms. Smith asked, still grinning like a maniac.
"Um, Ms. Smith, don't you think we've already had enough homework for now?" Phineas asked nervously.
Ms. Smith laughed.
"Phineas, the surprise isn't homework!" She said.
"Oh." Phineas sighed in relief.
"I think you will like this surprise." Ms. SMith smiled.
Everyone in the class suddenly began to blurt out geusses. Some were strange, like the principal being murdered. Others were reasonable, like a class pet.
"New student!" Someone blurted.
Ms. Smith's eyes widened.
"Who said new student?" She asked excitedly.
Baljeet raised his hand.
"Um, I did." He said quietly.
"Well Baljeet, you are correct! We are getting a new student!" Ms. Smith announced.
Everybody cheered. Sudenly Phineas noticed an empty desk next to his. Wasn't that Ferb's? He then noticed Ferb sitting in a desk next to Isabella.
"Ferb, why did you move?" Phineas asked.
Ms. Smith smiled.
"Well Phineas, your a very nice boy, and very social to. I think that you would be a good person for a new student to befriend." She replied.
"So the new student is sitting nest to me?" Phineas asked.
Ms. Smith nodded.
Phineas smiled.
"Cool!"
"Now the new student's name is Anna-Lee Chang. Now I will NOT tolerate ANY bullying." Ms. Smith looked straight at Buford.
"What? I'm not gonna bully her! Now that I know she's a girl..." Buford muttered the last part.
Ms. Smith gave him an 'I'm watching you' look.
Isabella raised her hand.
"Yes Isabella?" Ms. Smith pointed to her.
"When is she coming?" Isabella asked.
Ms. Smith smiled.
"Actually, she was supposed to come this morning, but she needs to get her supplies ready, so sometime around noon." She replied.
"Ok." Isabella smiled.
"Now class, I know this is exciting, but we still must focus on our school work. Please turn to page 10 in your math books." Ms. Smith then regained a normal voice and expression, and the class took out their school books.
